I used a Baker tent when I was in Scouts. I love the room. No crawling needed.

That's a nice looking tent. Thanks for sharing, it looks very well made. I tend to camp with much lighter stuff now, but could see this being great for a winter setup when I have a pulk sled and weight is not as much of an issue. I love the feel of a canvas, has an element that a nylon tent does not have.

I saw the round leather patch, like duluth uses.and I have some old catalogs of duluth.bill masons favorite tent.another panal could be added to the front with a chimney hole to add an enclosed room with camp wood stove

Connie Waite I use a GStove with mine. I put a canvas tarp on the fron of the tent. Works great. Thanks for watching.

Would like to setup tent that can run wood burner and cot camping. Wife is not much a camper so have to make it most accommodating for her. But, tbh I would enjoy camping more like this then on floor with some box store tent. Like idea of something you can use candles and lanterns in and not catch on fire so easily.

Yes I made the poles out of oak. Tent weighs 15 pounds or so not sure on exact weight. Thanks for watching.

Good to know thank you. Seems like that's the best bang for the buck. How did it deal with condensation on the inside?

Hi - i found a guy that will help me sewing my own baker tent from canvas, so iam thinking about the design atm. Can somebody tell me why the wood poles are outside? Would dnt it make sense if the pole holding the roof would be inside the tent because its more protected from water then?
@Walibnzas6 жыл бұрын
Cosmo Fun You could try doing that. It may work great.
@ccc_cosmo73926 жыл бұрын
Thanks or you answer andrew. just thouhgt there might be a reason behind it because it seems all baker tents have them outside.
