Campfire Cooking at Bank House Farm in the Peak District

A lovely sunny weekend camping at Bank House Farm campsite in the Derbyshire Peak District. Thanks guys. We’ve come from years of tent camping so it’s just what we’re used to. For a while we really just used the van like a tent on wheels that you don’t have to put up/take down, although we are seeing the benefits of spending more time in in too these days. Our campervan set up looks almost the same as yours but without that awsome little window to the left of the fridge. Your camp cooking is inspiring.

Thank you x. Would love to see your set up. We have sliding doors on both sides of the van. Comes in handy on very hot days but we don’t get too many of them. I’m guessing when you camp you chase cool and shade in the way that we tend to chase the warmth and sun?

@@adogaday Yes you’re right, we do most of our camping in winter. We usually head into the outback to photograph birds from the arid regions. It can get cold at night, a little below 0C, but the daytime temps are a beautiful 15 - 20C.

Thank you. We first saw one of the choppers at the Bridgemere Lakeland but they were about £25. We then just happened across ours at TK Max for a fiver so dropped on really. We use it a lot though so it’ll need replacing soon. Thanks again for watching x
