Thank you so much for caring about the trees. Taking down the paracord that someone else left behind. I commend you for that. It hurts the tree & you took the time to cut it off so the tree would be ok. You, sir, are ok in my book. Then you cook fish & chips with the scraps, that made my mouth water , your my dream man.

Oh dear, the spork cremation. Sad but happy, not to be used ever again but returning to the earth from where it once came. Fish and chips on the camp fire, now that is cooking! OMG, did that look divine! Thanks for sharing.

My family used go to the seaside sit in the car fish chips in a van on exmouth seafront . Every Friday night . I need days in bed these days. Nice to see you out and about man .

Did you know that wood is a natural antiseptic and that is why a wooden chopping board is always better than a plastic one? You won't get ill from that little split, unless you think you will, in which case you probably shall! Best wishes from South Wales.

Great culinary outdoor instruction. My mother used to be a fish fryer and she did a one off special for us. Someone gave her a small bottle of champers and she put that in the batter. Blew our minds. Also try goose fat to cook in !!!!

My husband also ate vinegar on his fish, we are from Georgia in the USA. Love all your videos. Enjoy and agree with with your message about hybernating. My husband passed last year in October and I am hybernating for as long as I want. Thanks for the encouragement also fall and winter are my favorite seasons to. Thank you for keeping it real.

Fish (batter dipped) and with salt, vinegar and cracked black pepper, fries (chips), Corn with a bit of butter and salt, cracklings (scraps) and I live in Arkansas, U.S. I would love to make this while camping. We usually don't fry at camp. BBBbbbbuuuuuttt… this makes me want to at least try this.

whenever i cook fry fish in batter in the woods I use me mums old cake tin. It is long and narrow so just the right depth, width and length for frying fish. Save on oil and a lot lighter than most pans

Came to your channel because I've heard it mentioned a few times from other KZbinrs. Subscribed for the "Leave no trace" and clearing up the mess of other, less useful humans. And I guess I'm doing the outdoorsman thing right, along with leaving no trace and occasionally cleaning up after other humans, I do also film myself walking about :D

You can put pinepitch in the crack then heat and add saw dust to it so it doesn't rot to keep it for memories
