This is 1 of the State Park Campgrounds located on the beautiful Flathead lake in Montana. We looked into all of them and in our opinion this is the BEST campground. It has the most ON THE LAKE camping sites. It has 40 campsites 3 Yurts and some tent sites. We did not check out Loop A because we started to drive down it and the road was horrible so we turned around, woke up the next morning to a Flat tire. They have 2 couples that are the camphost. We spoke with 1 of them never saw the other. Their staff keeps the shower area and the restrooms nice and clean. There is a day use area and a boat launch. Each site has a fire pit and a picnic table.I think there is a water spigot on every other site. We were on 21 and we had one right by us which was nice. They do sell ice and wood. There ice was actually cheaper than the walmarts ice. They have a beach area. The sites on Loop B 1-16 are on the lake. These book up fast so plan Ahead. In my opinion, Site 15 is the Primo pick. It has oodles of privacy and THE BEST VIEW of them all. ALL WATER. Thats my kind of camping. Site 4 is the one with electric but you have to be ok with people because both roads connect here and the bathroom is right by it so people are constantly walking through your site.
The big plus with this park is that all the sites are pretty nice size and you have your privacy. I don't like when campers are smashed in on top of each other. There is fishing, boating, swimming, trails, day use area, picnic areas. ALL THINGS CONSIDERED, I loved this campground and I would definitely recommend staying here! As an Albertan neighbor from Calgary, we visited a campground at Flat Head Lake called Table Bay Resort, also run by a couple who did a great job! Does that place still exist? I haven't been to that area since! I believe it wasn't as far south as Polson! I subscribed and liked! Greetings from Calgary!
