One of my favorite areas of southern Colorado that I always visit on my summer road trips to the Colorado Rockies! And I never pass up a few days or a week fly fishing the Conejos. It's like spending some time with an old friend.

Yep. 45 miles one way to a gas station in Antonito. The only other campgrounds we've been to in Colorado that were this remote are up by Trappers Lake. (Cutthroat Campground, Shepherds Rim, and a couple others.) I think those were 50 miles one way to gas and groceries in Meeker.
