Our expedition begins at an old uranium mine campsite called Mary Kathleen where history meets the tranquility of the Australian outback. It might be manmade, but it is still beautiful!
After a peaceful night of camping, we head to Julia Creek, a charming location that promises a one-of-a-kind experience. Here, we'll share the magic of a relaxing outdoor bath while watching a breathtaking sunset.
The next day, our adventure continues as we explore the serene beauty of Porcupine Gorge, a must-see destination in Queensland.

Cheers :) Apparently that particular free camp is going to open again after it is investigated etc. But only time will tell to see if that happens. When you guys did the bath at Julia Creek did you have the same ones as us, or did you have the cabin that they have?

You'll just have to go back and experience the new one then. We were going to do it, but it was all booked out! So make sure you book in advance :D

I remember well that walk back out of porcupine gorge. It was hard work, although we did test positive to COVID the next day…so we blamed that. And I’m with Jess on the pronunciation!

Jess said that she remembers when you guys went to Porcupine gorge and that's what made us go there :) Do you have any current travel plans?? You'll just have to go back and do it again, see if it was covid that made it difficult haha. So far the vote is leading Jess' way...but well see if it stays that way :D

Was going to head over to that Camooweal campsite but read it was already closed when I was gonna cut through, so came through Oodnadatta instead :(. It looked bloody awesome out that way though, one day!

Yeah it would have been a good way for you to head down south. But politics is what it is 😢. Although there is nothing wrong with heading down Oodnadatta instead, bloody beautiful out that way!
