Camping at Kagga Kamma and Activities | Koue Bokkeveld Camping

We went camping at one of my favourite spots in the Cederberg/Tankwa/Koue Bokkeveld region. Kagga Kamma has many activities to keep you entertained over the weekend and is a reasonably close drive from Cape Town.
Activities include mountain biking, hiking, game drives, self-game drives, 4x4 route, start gazing, restaurant, salon, put-put, driving range, quad bike tours and the list just continues!
There are 3 types of camping options available, the main campsite with a fantastic pool and clean ablutions. Klipsprings Boma is a secluded boma with its own ablutions and braai area. Then there are 2 wild camps which I still want to go visit in the future.
For the non-campers, there is also an array of accommodation available. Chalets and then famous little caves. The accommodation is built into the rocks to make it looks like you are staying in the rocks!
The landscape is unreal with magnificent rock formations all around you. The 30km mountain biking route I did was a nice scenic route. Pretty flat jeep track all the way, however, it is great for spotting game. I would recommend an E-Bike for this route or being a bit more on the fit side, the sandy parts of the 30km route are pretty tough to get through. The 10km route is also a great option.
The whole facility is neat and tidy, there is a small shop to buy some groceries, there is a restaurant and a bar, so ice and wood are also available to buy. There is no signal at Kagga Kamma, but the restaurant area has wifi. It can get very cold in the winter and extremely hot in the summer times, so just keep that in mind when booking.
