Camping at Tom Groggin campground, NSW | Kosciuszko National Park travel vlog 2022

This vlog marks the first day of our roadtrip through Kosciuszko National Park in New South Wales (NSW).
We begin the vlog at Scammells Spur Lookout where we see the Western Fall of the Main Range. When the clouds parted we could see 5 of Australia's tallest mountains we would attempt to summit in the following few days.
Our next stop was to see some of our favourite things to explore in the high country, historic huts. We explored Geehi Hut, built in 1952 and Keeble's Hut (1948).
We wound through the mountains before arriving at Tom Groggin campground to find hundreds of kangaroos. We found a great little spot on the flats and set up for the night with our Oztent RV5, ARB awning and got the Weber ready for dinner.
The campground had drop toilets and was located right next to the Murray River with a great spot to swim/splash in.

Looks like you guys have upped your car camping game 😄 What happened to the oztent?! Hopefully it'll be sorted under warranty. I was looking at them but went with a Zempire air pole tent instead as they're supposed to handle strong winds very well. Look forward to seeing the rest of the trip and what this park has to offer :D

Haha yeah we’ve got quite the set up now 🙌🏼 Matt’s done heaps to his ute and it’s perfect for camping! Not actually sure how the pole bent but yes I need to contact them about it. How’s the Zempire been so far?

@@AdventuresofKatelyn I actually haven't got it yet but super excited to get it. I've never had an air pole tent before and the technology hasn't really taken off in Australia yet. It should be delivered any day now! Would love to see some videos on 4 wheel driving trips if you guys go out on them.
