It was neat to see the other side of the park and the side roads. Glad to see the camper worked well! It is all so spectacular. You may like the channel, Cody and Kellie. Used to be Dome life. They are a nice couple who camp and cook and travel all over the US in their truck camper. I learned how amazing Arkansas creeks and rivers are through them.

Last time we were in Yellowstone we had a truck camper. This video just reinstates my desire to sell the 5th wheel and go back to a Lance 825. Our truck is the same size and cab size as yours. We could do this if the wifey would agree.

Our honeymoon to Yellowstone in August is what inspired my wife and I to buy a truck camper because they were everywhere and we’d never seen one before! They are not very common in the Midwest as they are out in the West. We ended up finding a Northern Lite 610 for our Tacoma out in Portland and drove from there to Chicago to get it home. Now we’ll be camping in style like you guys the next time we’re out there!

just awesome, new follower. we have the 825 2021. tip, use propane and gas at same time for faster recovery and longer showers, lance recommends, so safe. also if space is issue on the top storage compartment outside (driver rear), you can pop the four screw cap covers on each corner, back the wall out and get another 8inches of space. its a wall to hid the sink vent pipe and the 12 volt wiring for switches on the interior wall when entering. it will make a huge difference. you will be able to sit a honda 2200 suitcase generator or predator since made the same after moving or removing this wall. will not fit otherwise. just thought Id share these tips for more space and longer showers when you have plenty of water, thanks for tip on the Luna Mirror, ordered for wife.. safe travels and happy miles kiddos. see you next episode. ( i took the wall out and trimmed it to make easier fitting and put it back behind the pipe to cover the wires up.

Another great video! My wife and I aspire to visit Yellowstone in the next few years. I was wondering if you ever wish you had the Crewcab version of your truck? And are you from New England? Your voice sounds a little bit East Coasty to me. Anyways, keep up the good work!
@thewaywedidit Жыл бұрын
Thanks so much! Yellowstone is so beautiful and well worth the trip out there. Although it would be nice to have the extra storage of a crew cab, we like how the shorter length of ours allows us to fit into most parking spots. Getting a crew cab would also affect the payload of the truck, so it may not work with our camper. And I’m not from New England, but we did live in New York for a few years so maybe that’s it 😅

Great video and even greater narration 8 ) , I've been wanting a truck camper for a very long time and the 825 Lance is one that is on my list so I enjoyed seeing what it looked like on your truck . I'm curious what size motor you have and if you have an opinion on how big of a motor is need to haul the camper . Appreciate any insight as to what truck to buy for that size camper ! Thanks much ! Loved the video ! Subbing !
@thewaywedidit Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! We have the 6.2L V8 gas engine in a F250. We haven’t experienced any problems hauling our camper. From our research we were told it’s more about the payload capacity and combined weight of the truck, which we found to be at least a 250 and above. We have a video on our channel about how we selected our truck that could be helpful. Good luck on your search!

Enjoyed the scenery; however, the balance between dialog and music needs tweaking. Music is much too loud. If I turn the music down, the dialog is almost inaudible.

I live fairly close to Yellowstone and don't remember how many times I have been there. Lamar Valley is now one of my favorite places to visit. When did you make this trip? Lamar was hard to get into until late this summer due to the huge flood.

Lucky you! Yellowstone is one of our favorite parks! This video was actually filmed the summer of 2021. We heard about the flood, and are hoping they can reopen Lamar Valley soon.

@@thewaywedidit Lamar Valley was reopened in late September. Other than not being able to go to one of my favorite areas of the park, the park wasn't anywhere nearly as crowded last year. You should come up in Fall...

Ah, Firehole canyon drive, Sept. 1990. what a time and place for your 10 year old son to become inquisitive about the female reproductive system. Gave him the "talk" sitting on a large boulder overlooking the river. My dad did it sitting on the edge of my bed at home. I think I enjoyed it more than my father did. When ya get a minute, let me tell you about the time when he was 5 Y.O. I stood him up on the side of Bright Angel Overlook, and let him Pee into the Grand Canyon!

Many years ago when I was younger in my 20s I used to have a truck camper in my pick up then you could buy a truck and camper if you chose to go that way for roughly under $10,000 today for the same deal with the truck and camper you’re looking at 200,000 there would be no way that I would be able to afford something like that $200,000 a truck brand new truck and a brand new camper truck been maybe 75 $80,000 in a camper Atlanta camper with one slide out is $80,000 disposal when I paid for my house and I have way more room just not being as just isn’t realistic anymore who can afford those types of things, That’s just my opinion
