The only way my mom made coffee was bring water to a boil in a pot, drop coffee grounds in, stir gently , put lid on and take off the fire, steep 5 minutes or till grounds fall to the bottom pull foam/ grounds away for a pour spot. A few grounds may come through, but most of them stay in the bottom of the pot… easy with just a pot, lid and coffee grounds…. For those desperate for a cup of coffee. No need to cry, except happy tears! You got your cup of coffee! Yay! 🎣⛺️🪵☕️

I am glad you both enjoyed the trip and believe it or not the trips one books on the spur of the moment are good ones. Even though the weather was against you, you persevered and you did experience some good weather in between. Emily I think you did very well pushing your limits a bit each time and I had to laugh about the coffee, forgetting it, I can imagine ones tongue hanging out for some coffee in the morning, ha ha. Loved this video and can not wait for the next camping adventure from you both.

As someone who has been there too I just got on with what I could and no time at all, maybe 3 years I was back at my peak. I was young at the time and it may have helped but you mustn't allow setbacks define you if you can help it. Love your beautiful vlogs.

Warm enough clothes makes walking in the rain a meditational experience. I recall swinging my 13-14 foot fly rod in silent soft rain, aaaaall alone at the big river, with the line running through the guides with even less friction than normal, bcz everything is wet.. Rain running down my neck and back, and from my wrists to my elbows - but without freezing at all - as a huge experince of so many impulses at the same time.. I don't even remember, if I caught any fish. Once you have caught "the big one" you've always fished after, it actually does become about fishing, and not about catching. A perfect 20-30+ yard cast that lands as intended, is like hitting a red bull - on purpose..

Oh I totally understand that feeling of; how did I forget coffee!? Happened to me last canoe trip. Day two of the trip waking up without coffee, I almost wanted to hit the SOS on my Inreach to end the trip. 6 days without any caffeine was hell! LOL!
