Hi Ben, I had a similar mouse 'incident' when I camped up there last year. Mine was a collapsible plate that something decided would make a tasty morsel and ate some of the flexible silicon material rendering the plate useless as a plate - I can still use the base as a chopping board!

Hi David, If they want something they'll chew through anything! I've also noticed that there's quite a few weasels in the area too. Far too many dangerous beasts in the Dales 😂👍

Great video Ben! Bloody midges man! That was a blast from the past for me, as an 11 year old we did a weeks walking all round there. We stayed at the youth hostel in Keld. It was the school trip before high school in 1963 and we went with a group of 15 year old girls fron the high school in Fulford - the craic was mighty! hahaha! It rained the whole 7 days and we were continually soaked but at that age who cares. The outstanding memory, there are many, was these teenage girls singing "She loves you" by the Beatles which had just gone straight to no.1. Spanish Albert should have whipped his cape out and seen to that cow - hole! Thanks again ATB

What memories Paul! I bet you’ll never forget those girls singing The Beatles, a true moment in time. I bet the place hasn’t changed much since 1963, I noticed once you get out of Catterick there’s very little new infrastructure, just the old stone cottages. Even Spanish Albert turned on a six pence when the bloody cow started to charge, it was like a scene from carry on camping, I wish I had the camera rolling 😂. ATB mate.

Nice one Ben. That tent! Looked like you hardly fit in it :-) Never nice coming across a rampant cow (had a few in my time ;-) and always best to move away and give a wide birth. I'll see if the Lidl here does that Session IPA as it looked like a massive can for the price. Cheers!

Hi mate, yep there's a time and a place for that tent....and this wasn't it! 😂 That beer was really good, they've started adding duty according to level of ABV over here now so some of the stronger craft beers are £4.50 per can. Scandalous.

People leaving trash ( it happens over here too ) they are ruining it for themselves as well after there are closures Groups of land users where l live have gotten organized and negotiated with owners to help police the area it seems to be working

Thats a good idea. It's in the landowners interest to allow access to responsible folk and encourage them to report any issues to the police. I'm sure a hefty fine would make these people think twice about dumping their rubbish everywhere. 👍

Agreed. One of my pet peeves is littering. People so bloody inconsiderate with their chuck it anywhere attitude. Great video as always. Was looking at that 'small tent' - thanks for the review. Bit too claustrophobic for me.

Cheers! Yeah the tent is a bit compact, might be alright to just jump in and go to sleep but trying to do anything else in there was a right hassle! 👍
