You're in my neck of the woods. I remember when the lake wasn't there. Doll MTN, used to be an old homeplace from a looong time ago there. Before the lake, as teens, Doll mtn was a good place to hang out. I could take you all over them mountains. Thanks for the ride along.

Gatlinburg was like Heaven on earth when I was a kid. That was back in the 1980's. I've heard it's a nightmare now because of the traffic and crowds.

Hey Justin! WOW! What beautiful scenery! Small wonder that the Native Americans called them, "The Endless Mountains", back in the day! That was a fine looking campsite... and probably a good thing that Brody and the mini-Roscoes helped mostly by staying out of the way! Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha! Those peanuts looked delicious! There is something almost Holy about watching the Sun come up on a new day... full of promise & possibility! Not to mention NOT having much in the way of a schedule to keep and you can go & do what you want to do... when you want to do it! Congrats on the new moccasins! I'm sure that they will serve you well! So... rest. relax, & recharge! Keep an eye out for bears... and I'll see you down the trail!

We love Tennessee, NC and North Georgia and vacay up there every year. And we always camp. Tallulah Gorge has nice camping. The wife gets mad when I tell her I wanna vacay somewhere where a dollar bill ain't good for nothin but starting a fire or wiping your butt😂

You better not roll down the hill in your sleep down to that pond! Marie Laveau probly don't have enough rope to pull you back up the hill and would just let you float down there and get some peace and quiet for a few days :)

Drove once from N. Carolina to Jacksonville, FL for a funeral. Not much looking around or stopping anywhere for us it was just there and back. I did notice big diffence between GA , FL in regards to landscape and weather. This was January and I noticed almost near perfect weather down in GA and FL.
