Great vid Fergus! Am very jealous of all the wildlife you got to see, a Minkie Whale! How good is that. We love it round Lochinver but have never really seen much in the sea, the pod of dolphins was impressive too. Really nice photography, some great light you managed to catch, will look forward to your next vid. Andy

A very nice video. Lost of great experiences over there. Thank you for sharing. Meeting dolphins is something I'd like to experience myself. 😁 Maybe not that far away but I highly recommend you visit Loch Ken and Loch Doon. The latter has that feeling of being "almost" in the middle of nowhere. 😉

Hi Drew. Yes, it’s the advanced elements expedition elite - a high end inflatable with an optional rudder fitted. I’ll have another video out this weekend where I use it on a more ambitious trip.

Great adventure ! :) Could you please tell something Elite expedition kayak performance, what are your thoughts after camping trip, ? I am considerating this one exactly, for similar few days trips,, my main point of concern is luggage space, did you have to compromise on something or this is more than enough ?

Hi and thanks for your comment. Luggage space is okay, not huge but enough for everything I need, although some extras like camera tripod and a chair meant I have some things tied to the deck. If you’re clever with space I think you could pack for a couple of weeks of supplies. For example there are long, thin spaces along the sides which could be packed with supplies. As for performance. It’s not as fast as most hard-shell boats as far as I can tell (though I haven’t tried a lot of different kayaks) but it’s really stable and certainly faster than a packraft, which I have a lot of experience with.
