What a beautiful beach. The sand sculptures were pretty cool especially the crab . The dragon kite was my favorite. 😊

Thanks. It's so cool to fly a kite on the beach.

your experiment is justified. Once at a beach on the Columbia river, many years ago, we were boating and my 4 yr old son ran on the beach and cut his foot on a buried wine bottle and we had to rush him to the hospital

Oh man. That sounds serious. I hope he was ok and no serious injury. Thanks for the comment and stay safe out there. Appreciate you watching the channel. 😎🤙

So funny! Love the foot bath! We have two at the cabin right outside both doors. NO SHOES IN THE HOUSE! But I’ll be danged if it doesn’t blow through the doors and windows! Along with the Minnesota State Bird, The Chomping Mosquitos, they are far worse than the sand! 😅😅😅😅😅😅 (Slippers or Slides Inside, Shoes, Sandals, Crocs, outside) “If Mama ain’t happy, NOBODY’S is happy!” 😅😅😅

Very true! The foot bath was a game changer for us on the beach. Really minimized the sand inside. No shoes inside...Hawaii custom, we've done it in all our homes. Thank you.

Love the sand sculptures! They have that on St. Pete Beach on Florida's Gulf Coast also!

It was a nice surprise. I'm sure the ones in Florida are much nicer. Thanks

So cute. Pearl also worries about covering up the crabs little holes. But they are ok and will bore out. We never thought about camping on a actual beach. That looks so beautiful, we love beaches. Dropped a pin for here maybe some day

The sand is very firm in the areas that you can camp. Not too close to the ocean though! It's very nice! Thank you. 😃

Did you guy's go to Gulf Sbores RV Resort? My wife and I stayed there many times. She also loved riding horses down the beach.

That's cool. We have not been there. We were going to stay at Buccaneer State Park but had to re-arrange for weather.

Nice video what is the name of the street to best enter the beach on a big rig like yours?
@bigtruckbigtravels4 ай бұрын
Thanks. Beach Access road 1-A and you turn left at the beach. Any place along the water, just not too close. Get a $27 permit to camp on the beach at the Valero on the corner of Beach Access road. Wash your rig after you're done camping.

Awesome rig. I’m guessing you both had to get your CDL? If so, how difficult was that? I’m just curious what you both did in your life’s before hitting the road? Thanks for the videos. Living vicariously through your adventures. ❤
@bigtruckbigtravels Жыл бұрын
Thank you for the kind comment. No CDL is required because the HDT is titled as a private truck. Since we only haul our RV then Texas only requires a Class A non-commercial endorsement on the license. Never drove a truck before, we were managers in corporate America. Glad you're along on the journey.

Love this beach. I live about 45 minutes down the road. Go as often as I can, What I'm wondering, is how you got that big rig on the ferry or did you get there by the back roads from Corpus Christi?
@bigtruckbigtravels3 ай бұрын
Right on the ferry, Delores. Been on the ferry twice and enjoy the short ride. Plus it drops you off very near the camp spot. They fit us on easily... not a lot of room leftover! 😆 😆

While I am thinking about it. David what is your last name and how is it pronounced . I have heard you give it at check in but never understood.
@bigtruckbigtravels8 ай бұрын
Hey Charles, it's Kahanamoku and pronounced just as it's spelled but broken into two letter pronounciation: Ka-ha-na-mo-ku It's Hawaiian from the Kahanamoku family. Not sure if you've heard of Duke Kahanamoku who is my uncle and the great swimmer, surfer from the islands.

You should look into power solar panel deployment options.
@bigtruckbigtravels Жыл бұрын
Bryan, you're a mind reader, my friend. Originally, I wanted actuators up there to elevate the panels; however, at the time, that would have raised the panels too high and we were close to the max height. Now, with improvements, they are lower profile. Hmmm...you never know. 🤔😆

Beach Access 1-A is the best route for us. We always take the ferry across the pass.
