Perfect for a day trip near San Francisco, Point Reyes is an amazing place to hike, camp, backpack and comb the beaches. In this 4K video, we began our trip near Laguna Creek and followed the Coast Trail to Coast Camp. For those unlucky enough not to receive a permit to hike the Lost Coast, this is an amazing alternative. Beach fires are allowed, but make sure you follow the park’s rules! So pour yourself a glass of California wine, relax and enjoy one of Northern California’s most beautiful beaches!
Birds and Animals seen in this video:
Miner’s Lettuce
Douglas Iris
California Quail
Tule Elk
Red Tail Hawk
American Chorus Frog

I LOVE these little episodes in between the big adventure ones. You guys should do at least one video a week even if it's not on going outdoors. Maybe about tips on backpacking, gear, bloopers, daily life, wild foods, planning, etc. You'd get way more subscribers if you upload once a week.

Your filming and editing is great. I have been to Point Reyes National Seashore many times, kayaking (Tomales Bay and Drakes Bay - amazing), mounting biking, hiking. Its amazing the wildlife, to historic farms, and various ecosystems, from rolling hills, back bay inlets, coastal beaches and rocky cliffs to forests. And the lighthouse is great to visit as well. Its beautiful. We have stayed at the Hostel, as well as stayed at a BnB, and camping. Point Reyes Station (Town outside the National Seashore) is great to. Enjoy the Point Reyez Cheese. Always prepare for various weather patterns within Point Reyes National Seashore. Even on the same day, from coastal to close inland can vary. Point Reyes National Seashore is a perfect example of a "preserved of what California coast was like years ago". Thanks for posting.

What a lovely peaceful video only enhanced by your choice of music. The sunset was so delightful! I see the sunset on the west coast of Florida on the Gulf of Mexico daily, and its just as breath taking. However, the scene under the eucalyptus tree just made me want to float way. How I long to be in the present of a wise old tree with the hypnotizing sounds of the ocean. Thank you for taking me to the CA eucalyptus tree!

Thanks for reminding me about Pt Reyes. It has been years since I went there, and I live less than 100 miles away. I used to go there a lot, and I took my younger brother on his first backpacking trip there - Glen Camp to WildCat Camp then out to our car near the sound end. I have also been out there on horseback for a NATRAC ride. loved it. time to go back.

LMAO about the ending...very Hollywood, guys! I wish I had taken the opportunity to visit Point Reyes while living in Salinas. So beautiful. My wife and I used to go to Monterey Bay and Pacific Grove often, places you might want to consider traveling to see. I hope you guys traveled on the PCH instead of the freeways...so much beauty along that coastline. My friends and I did it on our Harleys, camping and hiking along the way. Thomas, I don't know if you have been up to Lake Arrowhead (my brother lives on the second tier from the Village) but there are countless trails up there with incredible waterfalls and primitive camp sites. Be careful though because it's bear and mountain lion country; the bears are used to eating human garbage. An 800 pound bear was killed by a hunter not too far from the lake's hospital. There are numerous trail heads off Highway 18 all the way to Big Bear Lake and down to Silverwood.

@@AdventureArchives For those unfamiliar with ND filters-ND stands for Neutral Density. They have the effect of reducing or modifying the intensity of all wavelengths (i.e. colors) of light equally, giving no changes in color rendition. In other words, it reduces the amount of light entering the camera but doesn't affect the actual colors' relationship to each other, reducing the possibility of overexposure, particularly in areas of overall brightness like beaches and snowy scenes.
