First Time Camping In My Jeep Commander

Aloha my Braddah......Awesome set up! L9ve the way everything fits.....I'm like you gotta have everything do its purpose from bags to cooler etc. simple is always good and when you go camping the next time it's just repetitious whether it's just you or 4 people......just make adjustments on food/drinks etc. My better half has the 07 Jeep Commander XK Overland Hemi.....I have the 06 Jeep Grand Cherokee WK Overland Hemi....all the mechanics is the same basically interior/body is different but console is the same which I love. Love our Jeeps you cant beat! Love all what you did on your Commander and channel very informative I appreciate it! Much Mahalo Braddah from Oregon!

...back when I was a kid we used ice in a big cooler, fancy man has a portable fridge!! Just fkn with you dude, this setup is gnarly! That tent is sick but where's Kelly?

She was on the fence about coming and we were both glad she didn't! Lol. The conditions were terrible once it started to rain in the afternoon. It was hot, humid and muggy. The worst camping weather I've ever had to deal with. She was happy to be home in the AC. Lol. Next camping trip will NOT be in Florida. Thanks for watching!

That is true! I really hate all of these "overlanders" on KZbin constantly complaining about setting up camp. That's part of the experience! Sure, somethings are a pain and I wouldn't want to do this in a rain storm, but you know what, if it's going to rain, I don't go! Lol. Thanks for watching.

I need to get out of Florida. Too hot here, even in early March! It really makes camping a challenge when it's 65 and humid when you are trying to sleep! I really want to do more overlanding type adventures and video. I still have somethings to straighten out on the XK before I consider it totally reliable. Thank you! As you can probably tell a lot of thought went into everything, but you never know until you actually try it out. This was the first dry run and I definitely packed way too much stuff. I didn't even use anything in my Roam case on the roof! I want to cut it down and maybe even get rid of the tent. Thanks for your comment and thanks for watching.

The water dispenser is awesome. $12 on Amazon and it makes washing your hands or filling a pot with water or filling a kettle for coffee so easy. Thanks for watching!

Thank you! I have lots to improve on. This was the first dry run and everything worked, but I brought way too much stuff. I need to cut it down drastically. I used to go motorcycle camping so I have lots of gear, but when you are moto camping everything is really small that you carry. With the XK I can basically bring anything I want to. So I need to find a balance. I think I actually did a better job when I was just on the motorcycle. Lol. Thanks for watching!

Damn dude! You do all the cool stuff..I just got a bike and I can’t wait to try camping solo like that! My commander is a headache to pack for camping when I have my wife and 3 girls with me..but it’s all worth it once I’m set up. Keep up the good work though!
