This is a genius concept! Have you considered something like Aluminet which is similar but reflective? have you noticed this mod you are using as far as the temperature difference goes?

Hi Jarrod, I note that on some of your videos the tent you are setting up is labelled as an Active Arc Tent. Is this the same as the Kodiak Bow Tent? (They look very similar to me). Also what size tent are you using for your short stay kit? Looking forward to videos 3 & 4. Michael

Hi Michael, great to hear from you. I have been apart of this energy absorbing tent frame system for many years (Over 20 in fact) under different brands. It's been around for a long time - in fact I have seen old footage of the famous Australian "Leyland Brothers" using this frame system in an unknown tent brand from the 1970's. I have seen it called many different things & Active Arc was one of them. The concepts or being active, flexing, absorbing, springing etc... is usually all marketing terminology by individuals or companies. Irrelevant of brand - the system works & I cannot recommend it highly enough! It is a family sized Kodiak tent - but I must be very clear & say that I will only use one model of the many available. The Active Arc tent really only comes to life in delivering an exceptional camping experience in our Australian / Queensland climate with my short stay shelter system for a plethora of reasons that have come about from a lot of personal camping experiences through trial & error. I should also state that I do not give my suppliers any grace Michael - I am not totally brand loyal, I am customer loyal!!!! If a better Active Arc tent system comes along, I will jump ship to deliver my customers only the best there is! (hence I hand pick individual models). I expect my suppliers deliver very high standards on a consistent level. If you wish to contact me for more detailed information Michael here is my direct email address jarrodm@campingcountryaustralia.com.au or feel free call one of my team on p(07) 54793300. Thanks again, Jarrod.

Hey Jarrod, I know this is an old video but I just found it. I am 72 just bought one of these tents and was going to buy the vestibule for it but I like what you made to put over the tent, is there any way you can get me the instructions as to how to make one and what I will need.. Thanks so much

how long is that spreader bar you have the chance clip to eyelet. having trouble finding something reasonably long say 3.5 to 4 meters.
@CampingcountryaustraliaAu8 жыл бұрын
Hi there! Slvbull. It is roughly 12ft with a custom made c-clip. You should be able to get standard spreader bars off the shelf at any camping store in between the sizes of 6ft up to 24ft these days. Good luck!
