Thanks for the thorough review! Best I’ve seen for this tent! I wanted to see how this held up to rain, what it looks like inside during the day and if it holds the heat, how the air mattresses would look inside and also having one side for “sleeping” and the other side as a screened in “living area”, as well as a few other things! This review answered so many of my questions!! I would love to see more tents w/ the dark room materials for comparison! I have a kid and I hate early morning wake up calls, so unfortunately, the dark tents were HIGH on my list! Lol. I also prefer the “cabin” tents (w/ the straighter sides) because my husband is 6’3” (I’m 5’3”, like you 😜) and we enjoy having the extra space if we need to hang out inside. Thanks again! Will check out more of your videos!!

I don't think there are that many tents around with both the dark room + cabin feature, but this is definitely one of the few! We had that tent for about 5 years and it held up very well in the winds,if tied down using all the tie down ropes, it's the rain that it lacks. What happens is the rain fly isn't long enough soever with the windows zipped up the water leaks through the bottom seams. Don't get me wrong we used the heck out of it and got our 200$ out of it.

Hey John! 🥰 Ah yeah I agree that the rainfly is really small and that makes it so not waterproof. I'm surprised it did well in the wind though, thanks for letting me know! And wow $200 is a great price, I think I paid 50% more than that hahaha 😲

@CampingGuidance we got a Gazelle tent about the same size and the rain fly goes to the ground but about 500$ with holidays discount. Hopefully soon we'll graduate to a camper but we do love tent camping as long as the weather cooperates.

Thanks for your video, can you provide a detailed description of putting the 10 person tent back in the bag, (how to fold the flooring properly to fit in the bag) I too had issues with the hinged poles but was able to correct it, the back door zipper does get snagged in the nylon rain cover at times. The D door worked well though

Hi Harry! Have you seen my "Set Up and Pack Away" video of this tent? That shows some shots of me putting the tent away. As for the flooring honestly that was a little bit of a pain, and I had help rolling it back down and compressing the air out. The air will naturally come out after a while (if you're at home and can take your time), so that's what I would recommend before packing it away. I hope this helps! 😊

The tent is dark in the daylight, but is it cool? I'm thinking about the greenhouse effect, and also how I tend to leave doors open for napping, because it's 90 out and there's no bugs. I'm looking for shade and ventilation, with very little infrared coming through.

The dark-room concept is sexy. But the rain-leak means I can't afford to experiment with this. Also, I'm taller than the peak height. I'd better go back to my Walmart Instant Tent model for 2/3 price.

Yes it's cool! But only a little bit cooler than a normal tent. So far when I've used blackout tents, the greenhouse effect isn't as bad as in normal tents.

My friend has a smaller dark room tent by them, and after using it twice last summer, i think I'll be going with this one here!! Your review is by far the best out there!! I don't have any experience with hinged doors... May I ask a question? How well does it "seal" without zipping, to prevent bugs from getting in?

I'll do my best to help 😊 If you don't zip the door up, it usually comes with like 3 small strips of Velcro to keep the door closed. Not the best seal in the world, but I've never had any issue with bugs coming in. If you want to (like at night before you go to bed), you can actually zip the door up with the poles in place, just to be extra safe 😊

Hi Kelly! Oh man it seems that quite a few people are having this same problem :( I tried my best to fix it but I couldn't. And I tried for hours :( In the end I just returned it back to Amazon.

You should bring your zippers to the top when it's raining and you won't get any water in from there.

It should come with the tent! Mine came with the tent. It's only the smaller variations that you have to buy the top part separately.

Hey Bill! It should be stated at the beginning of the video that I was only using the mask because I was camera shy and hiding my face from the camera lol 😅 Hope that makes more sense! There should be multiple pop ups on this throughout the entire video too if I don't remember wrongly :)
