Hey everyone! In this 4 part series, I will be showing you how you can illustrate an isometric city in Adobe Illustrator. In this first part today, we'll start with the basics and first create simple building blocks that are the foundation for creating the whole illustration. Awesome to see the progress like this. For simple isometric shapes I also recommend 3D > Extrude > Isometric Top. You can expand shapes that you made and get some quick isometric shapes without a grid.

You could just use the 3d tool too. The grid would work good to keep things in line.
