Camposol's Urbanization Crisis A Closer Look

I have lived in Camposol for the past 21 years and I nearly fell off my sofa laughing at this travesty !! Depicting the place as falling down, derelict etc etc - no such thing - most of this footage is not on Camposol, We are a mature urbanization, with parks and gardens.The problems we have are not structurally complicated . in fact quite easily remedied. It's the ongoing intransigence of Mazarron Ayto that's been the problem. Due to circumstances (developers bancrupcy) the later sectors were not finished according to the plan, but just this week Mazarron has been forced into taking full responsibility for finishing Camposol Ole Ole Ole!

Mazarron Council being forced into taking responsibility and them doing anything are 2 different things. I mean, how long have Mazarron Council had the 1 million euros to get things fixed, at least 2 years, and they've done nothing. Wouldn't be surprised if that money doesn't exist now. I could visit Camposol in 12 months time and nothing would be any different. As for living there for 21 years is that because you can't afford anything better ?

Not at all - it suited me and my husband very well. We researched the area and rented for 2 years before we committed ourselves to anything permanent. The shopping centre was complete, the golf course very handy for my husband. and we chose Camposol "A". - Nobody forced us. As I am now a widow, I am reassessing it's suitability for my circumstances, and debating whether to move down to the Port to an apartment n- but it's not an easy decision.

@@ChristineWhitfield-o7r Camposol sector A is not that bad so I'm not surprised you make a point of saying you live there, like everyone else does who lives on sector A, and that's because you know sectors B, C and D let the whole urbanisation down. Everyone I've met who lives on Sector A always makes a point of highlighting this. I've never met a person that says "I live on camposol, sector B, C or D". Those that live on sector A feel a need to highlight that they live on sector A as they want the listener to realise they don't live on the crappy side of the RM3 motorway

Again, - not so. There is nothing wrong with those sectors that can't be fixed . I rented on "B" for a year before my house on "A" was built. I have basic problems with the street lighting, and being expected to repair the street surface when needed. These problems are not great enough to make me leave . as we all knew we would be responsible for them eventually.When our street gets organized I expect to pay towards it's upkeep.@@theuktravellerinspain5082

Hi Christine. I'm going to scout camposol in September. Just worried someone would do a cosmetic job that would only show up after bad floods etc. with no comeback.

This is totally misleading. The vast majority of people on Camposol are happy with their villas and happy with living on Camposol. The problems are confined to just a few small parts of C South and a tiny corner of D7. Some streets are without street lighting but in Spain that is quite common and some small communities have none at all. Camposol also has many facilities a Waitrose size supermarket and many smaller shops, a public medical centre with three doctors., a private medical centre and hospital, farmacia, opticians , dentists Vets, golf course, communal swimming pool, post office , bank, social centre, gym and numerous bars and restaurants.

You forgot to mention an over priced petrol station and occupados. Also, I suspect camposol is the only place you have lived long term in spain, whereas I've lived in 4 different towns over the years, and they all had street lighting. Camposol have street lights, they just don't work

Dishonest video. The words may be your opinion but the images are not of Camposol. If you've had a bad experience there, perhaps bought and lost money when selling, then that is your problem, trying to be vengeful to others by putting them off Camposol with your fake videos is not the way for you to heal and dissipate your anger. Find a good therapist and talk it through.
