Wikipedia says Scotch Eggs originated in Whitby! SCOTCH eggs originated in the Whitby area of Yorkshire in the late 19th century. Originally they were not covered in sausage meat but in a rich, creamy fish paste before being sprinkled with breadcrumbs.

Dan we can get Scotch eggs in most supermarkets in Scotland no problem, plus the kind of sausage meat used here is sliced sausage or Lorne sausage it has a coarser texture and when either done in the oven or deep fried are delicious, you can add your salt and pepper to taste if you are making your own at home.😋

Great video again. To stop the Squirrel eating the bird food mix the bird food with some chilli powder, apparently as Birds aren't mammals they can't taste it but the squirrel will.

Hi Dan, please make sure your visiting hedgehogs cant get any mealworms that may drop from the bird table, they cause them to get a crippling bone disease which kills them eventually. Also the best food for hedgehogs is Sainsburys chicken kitten biscuits, teally cheap, the biscuits are good for keeping their teeth clean. Peanuts are also very dangerous for hedgehogs as they get wedged in the top of their mouths and prevent them from eating, they slowly starve to death. Can you tell I'm a crazy hedgehog lady. If you have visiting hedgehogs you are very lucky they are now on the endangered list as their numbers are falling.

A little more research is needed on your behalf. A couple of mealworms do zero harm to hedgehogs. They adore them. A lot becomes a problem. Hedgehog food is the best food you can buy for hedgehogs in my opinion. Some wet..some dry, left out in a bowl.

Fantastic trail cam footage! I love squirrels. Buy some peanuts in the shell and make a spot somewhere near the fence for the squirrel to eat them and it might stay off your bird table. Good looking Scotch eggs. Without the egg inside they would be good with a cream cheese jalapeno dip inside. Love your laugh Mazzy. Dan, don't you know it is bad luck to put shoes on the table. I used to love feeding the birds until the pigeons took over and crapped all over the roof of my house. Now it is against our City by-laws to feed birds without having a feeder that catches any seeds that fall to the ground. We have a bad skunk problem around here and if you have a dog like i do you don't want your dog to get near one and in some neighbourhoods they have rats so they banned bird feeding. I think a feeding table just might be the answer to getting past that by law.

Hope you have a good holiday. The ‘ comfy ‘ shoes are actually for when you go into the sea, they will wear out very fast if you use to walk about. Not really for wearing socks in either. A pair of sliders or crocs or crocs sliders would be perfect and bet you would live in them all sumner especially if you get sliders. Have a good time . Love the fox, he looked old bless him x

Dan, mix some cayenne pepper in the mix on your bird table. Birds don't taste it but that squirrel will and he'll not come back for that mix. I had to do that for my birds but than I started getting unsalted peanuts. The squirrels eat them and even the birds carry them off but they are mostly for the raccoons or skunks. I finally got a cam(birthday present from my GF) but haven't got any nighttime visitors yet.

I wish I could post a picture of my mum's squirrels. She feeds them so much they are so fat and they are big as her silky terriers. They will eat from one bird feeder to the next and pass out while eating. SMH. 😂😂😂 Squirrels will eat all the birds food 😢

That poor old fox has mange, all over the back half of its body including its tail. Sadly that needs removing before it passed the mange onto people dogs. Mange it's a terrible infestation that can cost a dog it's life, as well as the dogs owner thousands in vet bills.
