I live on the Gulf Coast of Florida. Water is NOT always that clear so don't get mad if you show up and it's a little murky for snorkeling, etc. It all depends on the wind, wave, current, and rainfall. But overall the west coast of Florida has the clearest water of all Florida beaches. That's because the sand, but mostly because there is little wave action and the lack of strong currents. Get to the beach in the morning during the Summer and the water is usually crystal clear all up and down the west coast of Florida. Then by about lunch time the sea breeze kicks in and the water gets choppy and no where near as clear. But it really is the calm water (lack of waves) and sand that makes the water look so clear. The East Coast of Florida rarely ever gets this clear because of the constant wave action and stronger currents that keep sand suspended in the water. The west coast of Florida is also the best beaches for families because the water is usually calm with a very low risk of rip currents. But watch out during hurricane season or during the Winter after a cold front. The waves can get quite big in the Gulf of Mexico occasionally. Overall - nice review. I've got my secret spots, but I'll keep them secret. They're already getting way too crowded during season (Oct to April).

@@CampTravelExplore I know what you mean. One thing great about seaside is that its located 30ft or so above sea level, which makes it great protection against the storm surges. I was there when Hurricane George hit, and seaside didn't even blink an eye. Not to many places i can think of in the panhandle that are this elevated. You just described every popular state park lol, I hear ya though! I wish they would add some camping loops to these state parks, they all have room for it!! Thanks for checking the video out and commenting!

All Florida beach state parks are booked solid. You can book 11 months in advance and even then, most sites are booked ahead because people book the minute the reservation desk opens at 8am, exactly 11 months in advance. It’s ridiculous!

@@sharonbyrd5075 I'm glad I got to enjoy Florida as a kid. I won't be going back to such an overcrowded place, Yuk.

My favorite beach is probably Ponce Inlet near South Daytona. It's not as busy and the water is usually super clear. What I don't like about the gulf beaches of Florida is that the warm water isn't nearly as refreshing as the Atlantic. However, the gulf side is so calm and relaxing. I'll take either side tbh.
