Campus Life During Covid (a bad ending)

hi, guys! this video is from my first week of college on campus!! i was super excited to be back on campus to be in a better learning environment, but it looks like this is coming to an end because of a group of irresponsible, selfish students. I will, however, still stay at my college apartment regardless of whether students get sent back home since off-campus students (that's me!!) still have to pay full rent. I will keep you updated on what happens! Either way, I will continue to upload more content, so stay tuned :) thanks, everyone!

I completely agree. I go to Notre Dame too and I'm not sure if this is true or not but I heard that if a student is caught at another unsafe off-campus party/gathering, they'll be dismissed from the university completely. I agree tbh. Most students are trying to be safe and responsible, and it's not fair to keep having things shut down because some students are ruining it for the rest of us. I just want to get my education as safely as possible in these crazy times.

I made the personal decision to cancel my housing contract and do school at home for fall since my on-campus job (if I was lucky to get it again) and all my classes were going to be online despite my university offering some classes in person, as a hybrid mode, etc. It is saving me thousands of dollars while I live my life safely out of my bedroom at home rather than a dorm room where I don’t trust a certain population of students and am spending thousands of dollars to not get the full experience I am paying for. I have gone through so many cycles of relief and guilt from my decision and seeing your video has helped me realize that I am making the right decision for me. While your school has taken strict precautions to keep students safe and maintaining social-distancing protocols, it feels so apocalyptic to me and there are still students ruining the experience for everyone else. Thank you for sharing your experience and spreading awareness. My university has not yet started and I am really hoping some people stumble across this video and think twice before going out to party. Please, to ANYONE reading this: help to keep yourself and others safe and healthy.

It usually depends what people and what hall they could be in. My brother is from Notre Dame the same uni yoora is in. His hall is O’neill which is a frat hall. Ive heard they partied and many got covid from it, even his hall-mates did. What they do is they send covid positive people to a hotel. O’neill hall tends to usually party a lot even in the covid outbreak. Sorry for the bad grammar.

사실 어떻게 대면 수업을 한다는건지 전혀 모르겠어요...전 파리에서 살고 있고 정확히 한달 후에 개강하는데, 매일 확진자 수가 4000명 넘게 쏟아지고 있는 곳에서 사실상 대면 수업은 무리일텐데, 또 학생들 학업적인 부분은 걱정되니까 질질 끌다가 결국에는 이번 학년 다 온라인으로 대체될 것 같은데...그럴거면 저 같은 외국인 유학생은 무리하고 돈은 돈대로 쓰면서 한국도 못가고 있는건데ㅠㅠ 너무 속상해요. 차라리 온라인으로 전환할거면 빨리 전환하고 제대로 된 커리큘럼을 어떻게 제공할지 궁리나 했으면 좋겠어요. 이 상황이나 학교나 다 너무 답답하고 밉네요ㅠㅠ 미국 대학교 상황을 보니 남일 같지 않아서 댓글 남겨요! 유라님도 힘내시구 늘 건강하세요 :)

킹코코리 저는 3월달부터 쭉 지금까지 한국 안 들어가고 있었는데요, 많은 분들이 염려하시는 인종차별 부분은 많이 괜찮아졌어요! 그리고 마스크 착용 의무인 곳도 점차 확대가 되어서 분위기는 훨씬 더 안정적이긴 해요. 바캉스 직전이 진짜 대환장 파티였죠...ㅠㅠ 3월하고 비교하면 지내시기에는 더 편할거예요. 그치만 학교를 개강한다고 하면 그건 또 다른 문제겠죠...많은 학생들과 밀폐된 강의실에서 하루종일 마스크 끼고 불안에 떨며 수업을 들어야 할테니까요ㅠ 오늘 보니까 저희 학교는 두 그룹으로 나뉘어서 격주로 현장강의와 온라인강의를 번갈아서 할 예정이더라구요.

We’re going back too but I’m sure it’ll close again due to stupid students not following directions..I’m glad I won’t be going in person like the others. So if an outbreak does happen, hopefully it doesn’t affect me.
