I have an 8 year old and just got one of these for her. I'm impressed how well, for the price and overall specs, it handles a variety of challenging light situations while looking reasonably nice. I've let her use an older, but quite nice compact camera and it's great for learning, but this is dang great for something she can run around with in the neighborhood with friends and not worry as much about. I personally like the grain on this. It's moderate and very even and DEFINITELY looks nice for the black and white vibe. Also, I have found that it's pretty quick and easy to crop/level and make a couple minor edits for my kid without eating up my day. Already made a super simple edit profile in On1 for day or night shots with this and it really takes care of the minor white balanced weirdness.

Definitely a good starter camera for any kids who want to have fun! Glad you guys enjoy it and definitely good for the price.

Love the video!! Just purchased mine recently and got it in the mail. Unfortunately I couldn’t find the firmware update for the silent mode on their website but other than that it’s been fun to use!

I think mine shipped with a usb-c to usb-c cable which means you can connect and upload direct to your phone

Once you download the photos to your device you get a standard JPG image that you can edit in an app like Lightroom or put filters on. However if you're asking about the B&W filter that you download into the camera, those will automatically download with the filter on top of the photo. I don't have the filter so I can have the colored version and turn it into black and white if I want to. Does this help answer your question?

Great video. I have a question, when you put the photos on your computer will the photos delete off of the camera.

Nope! When you move the photos to your computer it copies them and keeps the original file in the camera. Unless you delete the photos from the DCIM of your camera the photos will stay there.

such a good video, do u know if u can install the black and white right after the silence update or install the "standard settings", or can i just replace the files, i am so afraid to break the cam

thank you for the nice comment and good question! on their support page they do give a disclaimer to to only have one update at a time, if you have multiple you can mess up the camera. unfortunately they are fixing a few bugs but are going to rerelease the black and white filter shortly.

@@Sup3r_flo in order to switch between updates you do unfortunately have to delete the previous update and reinstall the new one. I believe it’s something they’re going to be working on in the future

Just got my camera today and took some test photos. When I plug it into my computer, I can't find the campsnap folder. Any help? thanks

Hello no problem, I had that problem as well in the beginning. Make sure it’s completely plugged in and look under your local files but it should pop up under the name CAMPSNAP. Once you click the file open the DCIM file to view the photos. Make sure to eject the camera before unplugging it. If it’s still not working email me [e-mail] and I can try and help further.
