It's crazy that Świątek has over twice as many points in the WTA rankings as Rybakina, who has already played in five WTA finals this year. Rybakina lost a lot of points at the Australian Open, Indian Wells, and Rome. Out of 3300 points (1300 for AO, 1000 for Indian Wells, and 1000 for Rome), she only managed to defend 70 points for the second round of the Australian Open...

Świątek holds Grand Slam title, WTA Finals with 5-0 record, and 5 WTA 1000. These 7 tournaments alone give 8500 points. Rybakina holds 3 WTA 500 titles.

@@SmithyPLSwiatek comes from a bourgeois family, who has trained with a personal coach since childhood and who learned tennis in Nadal's academy (19,000€/year), has never had any health problems. While Rybakina trains with a personal coach she is 17 years old and was forced to change nationality for financial reasons because the Russian federation did not believe in her, in addition to having many health problems since 2020

@@Gayaa-dl7lq Stop spreading false information to elevate Elena over Iga. Correction to your first lie - Swiatek never attended Nadal's academy as a child. She trained locally in Poland. Correction to second lie - she did suffer an injury, and one that actually required surgery (ankle). Correction to your third lie - she comes from a normal (maybe slightly richer than average) Polish family with her mother being an orthodontist. Her father actually recently admitted that at one point the family suffered financial problems that could have ended Iga's career. So there you have it. I normally do not comment but somebody needed to point out all your lies.

Hope to see Rybakina healthy and going deep in RG! For Medvedev being #5, like you said, Cam, i don't think he is worried with Djokovic, Alcaraz and Sinner having question marks , and yes #5 might get an easier draw than #4 , happens a lot😁

@@coolyoutuber6237 The best is in case of Djokovic vs Sinner. If Novak makes final in Geneva, he has to win it to be certain of being world no.1 if he wins French Open with Sinner making the final. If he loses the final, him and Sinner will be both at 10025 pts if they meet in the final in Paris with Novak lifting the trophy. If Novak loses before final in Geneva, Sinner making the final at RG gives Italy first ever singles' ATP Rankings leader in history. Even if he loses

I want someone to do a deep dive into how Gauff has played Swiatek 11 times in 3 years. Gauff is Swistek’s most played opponent. Seems strange to me that no matter what her ranking has been in the years, she’s always been in the Swiatek bracket.
@KonstantyKostekKosteckiKostka7 ай бұрын
yes, it's very suspicious. And if we add that Sabalenka also had to play with her 11 times at the same period of time, it is no longer a coincidence. We need to appoint an investigative commission :)

If you believe in your game plan and process then rankings become less relevant, but it is of course important for qualifying into tournaments. Put another way, if players become too obsessed with rankings they are done for.

@@Sir3gar She pull out from Dubai and Indian Wells because she was tired. And she was tired because she did not play well in general, she had similar number of matches to Swiatek played but she had spent much more time on the court as she played lot of 3 setters and tie breaks against lower ranked players. At Rome she had allergy that she used to have every year but not Dubai or Indian Wells. She has simply very inefficient game style that cost a lot of energy, Swiatek can win Indian Wells or Doha winning all matches in straight sets, Swiatek can baggle/breadstick every one on her way to the final as she did in Madrid. She simply wins way more easily and thats crucial because in the final she usually has more energy than her opponents thats why she is so good at playing finals.
