I find the CR7 (red) dries down to something different, more woody than Le Male. But the opening is close. Some other obscure Le Male clones (but halfway decent) are "Diplomate" and "Sexy Boy". I'm not kidding.

As a Le Male lover, I used to look down on Cuba Gold. I don't, anymore. For $10, it smells and performs very similar as the current batches of Le Male. Not the original Le Male, but the current formulations. That Cuba Gold set for $20, where you get the 100ml EDT, the 100ml after shave, the deodorant spray, the skin cream and the extra 30ml EDT...that's a great deal.

It's from the internet so it must be true... “Natural” indicates a container utilizing a pump system as opposed to an aerosol It's an English translation of French terminology

Lol I fell down this rabbit hole a couple of years back of trying to find the truth. This rumor got started on fragrantica of Golds release date, but none of it is true. The company that started the Cuba line. (PC design perfumes) Started in 1995 and they were the ones to create the Cuba line. So no...Le Male is not a clone of Gold but the opposite way around.

@@ScentsOverSense It's internet folklore based on an incorrect introduction date on fragrantica or a similar site but has since been removed. Here's the truth from the horse's mouth, PC Design Perfumes about us page. It was introduced (later) in the same year as Le Male, not 1979, and it also explains the "Champs" thing. Too bad for them they didn't open shop on Avenue des Gucci🤣. I suspect "perfume conditioning" is code or a translation of cloning. PC DESIGN is specialized in perfume conditioning. Founded in 1995 in 71 Avenue des Champs Elysées, in Paris (France). Our Official Icon Brand CUBA was the starting point of a successful and prosperous path.

Cubs gold is actually really good and has gotten compliments ! My fave Le Male clone is actually La Rive Cabana. Love the freshness and cinnamon in that one

Naturally synthetic, maybe? 🤣 1:00 So technically, they sometimes consider molecules extracted from natural sources as "natural" - for example, linalool can be isolated from lavender and other plants. Coumarin, limonene, cinnamal, geraniol - also found in nature. But you def busted them with the Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone included in the ingredients - about as natural as a toupee on a mannequin (but interestingly still found in nature in trace amounts).

Cuba has a lot of clones, but I find Gold to be the best. Prestige is supposed to be cloning A*Men, but I thought it was weak. On a side note, the same company has a line called "New Brand" and there are another whole bunch of clones in the $10 price range. Still testing some of those...Blue Sky is an A*Men clone that's just okay.

For me Prestige is like Star Men Nebula...( Having both ) If you want another cheapie..Belcam AI...same as Paco Rabanne Phantom. ( Have both also...) I sold Hayaati Al Maleky...and kept AI...that good...for the price that is.

😂😂ya and unjust saw they have a variety 4 pack of 1.7ML bottles that has this in it for $15. I think the other three are Invictus, Blue de Chanel and maybe 1 Million. I forget exactly right now but seems like the best Cuba deal 😂

@ it actually last on skin for a while, good projection for like an hour but decent sillage for like 2 hours. Then a skin bubble for another 3. Then a skin scent for another hour or so. It’s not bad

I had a few of these. They smell OK. I gave them away. OK to spray on clothes. DO NOT spray on skin. They all caused me hives and rash. YMMV. Cheers.
