Fun fact: these are the exact same engines NASCAR still runs, NASCAR just puts plates on them to limit them to ~670hp. Many team owners as well as Toyota themselves have said that it would be possible to change all the engines back to 900hp by tomorrow if they wanted at no extra cost. A bit of a shame how nascar wont allow that though 😞

Exactly what makes Cup cars so hard to driver and a visual demonstration of why former Indycar, F1, and Sport car drivers have performed poorly in NASCAR. You cannot over drive it without severe consequences. Too heavy, no downforce, and brake fade.
@stryker17974 ай бұрын
Both cars perform in so different ways that I couldn't tell which one was gonna win but I definitely didn't expect the other to keep up so closely. My reasoning was that, either the Cup Car's massive power/weight advantage would leave the GT3 in the dust, or the GT3's superior aero wouldn't leave the Cup Car a chance to keep up. For sure wasn't expecting each car's strengths to compensate so well for its drawbacks.
@josephneill6916 ай бұрын
Basically, what i expected. The Nascar has the legs to pull away on straights but can't corner nearly as well as the gt3 (it's steering column is not realy designed for non-banked chamging radius corners hence nascar road races used to be chaos) so the Lamborghini makes up the time in the technical sections
@tome19035 ай бұрын
The steering column really has minimal effect on the handling of the car, it's all in the suspension design (this gen nascar still used 60s style truck arm solid axle rear suspension, making this even more impressive) and the higher weight and center of gravity
