Bic, Parker, Aurora, Schneider, Staedtler, Faber Castell, Fila, Viking1914, Stablio, Pilot, UniBall, Rotring, Faber Castell, Maped, Ohoto...etc... Things I grew up with when I was a kid at school. The new brands however import their balls from Switzerland and assemble them in China or what ever. They are not original and I really hate fake products. Thanks

The fact that you are not using a ruler and not drawing the lines parallel to each other means that each line that you drew was not exactly 27 cm... The lines that you drew have a curve to them, thus each line you drew is definitely greater than 27 cm in length and so the uncalculated difference of these curved non-parallel lines must be taken into consideration (the pen can eventually actually write up to 2 km).

The effort you put into your test was commendable and even awesome. I wouldnt have done it. But I still believe Bic. Why would they say 2km if it wasnt true? I am sure they have testing results that can document 2 km. Some years ago the University of Reading in the U.K. documented the writing life of various ballpoint pens. They found the average of all ballpoints they tested was 900 meters. Thats a lot of writing!

How do you know the distance of all the lines on the sheet if you were going up and down? Did you count them? It should have been just straight lines and about the same length but of course it is more work. Anyways it’s good that you tried this. 👍🏽
