OK plate story. I actually bought the plate about 10 years ago when I had a 350z. I didn't buy it to put on anything other than a V10 and I thought I'd work really hard and be able to afford a V10 (non BMW) like a CGT, LFA etc. Sadly testing tyres and making KZbin videos doesn't actually pay much at all so I sellotaped it to this m3 so I didn't have to pay the £80 retention fee every year. Guys... diesels are beasts. Today I while was walking to the bus stop I hear a huge roar. Based on the sound, I was looking for a straight piped 2 stroke motorcycle engine. After that I heard a huge roar again, but with a big cloud of black smoke exploding out of an older C class diesel Merc. Than it just launched itself into hyperspace. Guys near said, that it has a 52mm turbo with 33,5psi, and it's pushing about 700hp, and 1200Nm. What a beast. Love it

Word Maestro I have an E46 M3. I don’t have brake fade on track days , but did wear out street pads in one day. I now have PFC 08 and have had 3 track days and they are almost like new. I know the E92 is heavier and it’s brakes can get hot. I was speaking to he said he had a flat out ABS malfunction. I think you can even see it on the cluster. That should not happen even if the brakes are getting hot.

With its soft suspension and because Alex doesn't care at all about damaging the car, the e46 hits those curbs like a mofo, making up precious time in the process. The oil burner is quicker than I expected. Great driving from both of them too!

A tractor ha ha, m57 introduced in late 90s was the best engine power/consumption. You can chip m57 from the newer bmw with better injectors/turbo to over 800 torque and more than 400hp beating almost every petrol with a funny consumption level. That happened because the trend was pro-diesel at that time , and most of the money were directed towards diesel engines, most manufacturers did this. Marcus Ryser Turbo and intercooler aren’t in the engine. Chiptuning is modifying the ECU and thats not in the engine either.

No need for engine tuning to beat stock (almost*) M3 on this short track. Proper R comp tyres, decent coilovers+ arb's, good racing pads/fluid and weight reduction + shell V power will kill the m3

4 seconds for a car significantly worse than the M3 and its cheap, i reckon if they fit parts worth 3000-4000 pounds it can beat the M3 and maybe even do a 35 or a 34 seconds lap time

Looking forward to this! Be warned though, we owned an E46 330d from new and on about 50kmiles a metal grub screw got ingested into the engine and took out two of the six cylinders and blew the engine up. I look forward to seeing your finished product!

fk this... im buying a e46 touring, take note bmw, you better make the next gen m3 in a touring version too...btw, im looking for a 318i facelift, the one with the 2.0 engine just as a daily, how are those engines? I dont want it to monster any m3. Thank you!

if you get a m50 it run can forever too, never get a bmw with less than 6 cyls.

I come from a small balkan country. Although many people own M2,M3,M4,M5 etc. None of us younger people (bellow 25y.o.) do....so we buy old used 3.0L diesel bmw, and modify them to oblivion. Stiped interior, LSD, or welded diff, suspension, engine tuning etc. We spend a lot of money(still faaaaar less then and M car costs) to make our piece of sh*t faster then almost anything else on the road. After 5 years of ownership my 330cd is truly a beast
