Can A Flipper Zero Hack A PHONE?

In this video, we'll be demonstrating how to use the Flipper Zero's Bad USB function to brute force unlock an Android phone. The Flipper Zero is a versatile pentesting tool that can be used for various security-related tasks, and one of its key features is the Bad USB function.
By emulating a keyboard or other USB device, the Flipper Zero can exploit vulnerabilities in an Android phone's security system to gain access to its lock screen. We'll be demonstrating how this works step-by-step, using both the Flipper Zero and an Android phone.

It's quite easy to code an exploit that can access the OS of the phone and change the number of attempts it takes for the phone to be disabled, I have done this on my flipper zero along with regular USBs with a microcontroller

A lot of people don't take this one into consideration but when you are brute-forcing into someone's account your program will run it as if you only entered one password not multiple different passwords trying multiple different combinations but it will only enter one

it depends. In this case, there are multiple passwords entered. what you said would be true if they somehow got access to the password (but in an encrypted form because.... why would you bruteforce if it is in plain text?). That way, they can try to find the right password at their own pace

The iPhone can be jailbroken without unlocking depending on the iOS version, then you can disable usb protection, and it’s also possible to change the amount of allowed password attempts on older iPhones.

The reason why you can use this on an Android phone is because if you plug a USB keyboard into an Android phone you can type in the password that way this feature is obviously so that more people can use their phones if they have an accessibility problem or for embedded devices that don't have a touch screen at all although I thought iPhones also let you do this

they did, but they made it so you have to login before accepting USB input now. you can set it up the same way on android as well, just on iOS you don't get a choice. Edit: actually, for the phones that this worked on, I don't think they actually accepted keyboard or mouse inputs (Apple was super late on adding support for that) but there's still an input device that's able to brute force and tap out the password by just plugging it in (I wonder how that one works)

Pattern passwords are the weakest link in your setup, they are one of the easiest to brute force. And the face recognition is tricky, but it can be done a lot more easily on Android than iOS, since it just uses the normal camera instead of an accurate LiDAR 3D model

If you have a locked android phone there is a high chance that you can just go into recovery and perform a hard reset from there, basically leaves you with a fresh phone Afterwards you could even root and scramble your MAC adress so it "looks" like another phone to the carriers making it veeery hard to locate but thats just criminal food for criminal thought

Knox is about encrypting your data, so that even if anyone is able to extract your data by hacking or through the Samsung servers or by physically removing your storage chip from your phone, they won't be able to read or use it at all.

To make the flipper to exactly search for the password is that we have to put put the phone into the boot and to recover mode and connect to a system and just search in KZbin video of phone's system files to computer then you know it go to system and some sort of flies but it's different to every other phone just search lock screen or whatever it will show every detail but not say the password instead you can edit any like for example failed attempts or disable attempts hope this helps ( I may have bad grammar because my phone sucks so don't blame me )

You probably have never used an Android so let me explain! After a certain amount of failed attempts you'll have to wait for at least 30 seconds until it locks down. Not to mention it won't be as easy to brute force an alphanumerical password with special characters if the owner is smart enough to not just use a 4-6 digit PIN. You can't setup a safer unlock method on iPhone so I consider that a huge security flaw

Ok so it's not available on iphone because it's easier and free to just use itunes on a computer to reinstall ios (it'll make a backup or you can reinstall everything that's on icloud if you sign in with apple id but you need the pin for that. Also sometimes when you change the password it doesn't work right and you'll be locked out, it happened to me before)

I have a google pixel with grapheneos. The titen m security chip makes it impossible to guess too many times and will do heavy rate limiting making even 4 carakter pin secure enough for most applications.
