Do you have any videos of the camper? And do you know how many miles you can travel before you have to fill up, pulling the camper?

Videos are on KZbin. We averaged 17mpg in the Jeep Renegade from Dallas Tx to Kingsland Ga. round trip.

Dose that have the standard 7round plug? And if so how did you get the plug installed. My dealer ship is telling me no to the 7round plug..
@bluewolfoverland Жыл бұрын
Yes it's a 7round. Had it installed by a friend.
@bluewolfoverland Жыл бұрын
Plug was I stalled under the hitch and so I rerouted the wiring to make it higher. Also had a brake controller in stalled.

@@bluewolfoverland interesting, so I just jot the 7round installed but no brake control. Guy couldn’t figure out the brake switch wires to tie into.. others on forums said when they tried messed up computer and gave error on dashboard. Others like you have had success..

What's the weight of that camper? How does the Renegade handle?
@bluewolfoverland Жыл бұрын
1180 lbs empty. Renegade had no problems pulling from Texas to Georgia and back.
@bluewolfoverland Жыл бұрын
I did install a sway control since it's a single axle trailer.

@@bluewolfoverland I see it's a trail hawk. I have a latitude 4x4 2.4L engine. Do you have the turbo engine?
@bluewolfoverland Жыл бұрын
Nope. It had a 2.4L, 9 spd transmission. It pulled the Viking Great. Didn't have to unhook for a fast overnight stop. We did switch over to a Tacoma with 2.7L 4 cylinder. The Renegade is rated at 2000 lbs pulling capacity with I believe a 200 lbs tongue weight. We will try to help you with as much information as possible. 😃

That transmission is probably like kill me now.
@bluewolfoverland2 жыл бұрын
Same 9spd transmission as the Cherokee.

Same 9spd transmission as the rest.

@@bluewolfoverland Good rule of thumb is to only haul half of your towing capacity.
@moosemechanic4591 Жыл бұрын
@@trevor2731 that’s a great rule if you want to spend 60k on a 1 ton truck, the rest of us only tow 10 times or less a year and use every pound of capacity when we do.
@bluewolfoverland Жыл бұрын
Fortunately I have a little over 30 yrs experience hauling and towing. Heaviest I've ever been was 176,000 lbs. I do a lot of research before I do anything. 😃
