I ran that trail back in 1997 and it was really rough! That place where your buddy moved the rock for you was where I crushed my drivers door in! Ouch!

20 years ago we ran Claw, Sledge, Jack, outer limits, sunbonnet etc multiple times with 33's and 35's. Took us all day sometimes, and sometimes we turned back. Today I but its all torn up where you need 37+ to make it.

What a great trail. How have I been off-roading through Phoenix and missed this one.

Seat time is everything. I’ve been wheeling for 20 years now. Holy Cross Co to Triple Threat (Trifecta) in Moab on 33s in my TJ. I now have a 10th Ann. JKUR on 37s. My recommendation for anyone is seat time. Don’t put large tires on your rig until you have to. You will be surprised where you can go. I don’t have to do all the hard stuff to be happy. Get me on dirt and I’m happy. 🥸

Absolutely !! Forty years and I'm still learning something new almost every time I go out. Also in those four decades grew from 7.50-16's up to 38" by the end of the 1990's, Four Dees 10 years ago, now back on 7.50-16's and having more fun than ever !! Wheeling grows from a bad habit to a full on addiction real quick!

This looks like a fun one ! May have to drop down to Arizona and try this out. I think my smaller size could be an advantage here, and I love extra credit obstacles, especially when I make them on 7.50-16 pizza cutters when everyone else is on four dees HaHa😊 This looks like a fun place for rigs of all sizes. Thanks for sharing.

@@timmcooper294 no problem, and there are a bunch of other good trails in the same area, it’s worth checking out if you are ever around.

Hi Do you interested in adding some LED upgrade to your rig? We hope to do some sponsorship with you!

Watching this gives a much better idea of what to expect with my rig, '17 jku, 3.5 inch lift with 35's referred to 4.56. Just need to with someone more experienced out there.
@truaxoffroad11 күн бұрын
@@stephenwade1683 you will be fine, you could skip most of the obstacles if you wanted to. I would definitely go with someone who has been out there before though.

Hey cool video. What lift does the white rubicon have? We have the same one stock. We are looking to get 35” tires though but no lift as of yet. It’s amazing what they can do completely 1:38 stock.

@@davidbryanwoodworksandmore I will get the exact specs for you, but I’m almost positive it’s has 2.5” Rock Krawler springs.

@@BlankaJLU i have a new xrecon on 35s, im under the impression that is basically the setup that i have? it looks pretty much the same. dont have too much rock climbing around my parts in ohio but watching that white rubicon gave me better feels for what mine can do.
@BlankaJLU4 күн бұрын
@ from my understanding, it is pretty close to being the same set up as the white Rubicon. I believe the X recon comes with a 1-1/2 in lift. The white Rubicon is set up with 2 1/2 inch lift and I believe 1-1/2 inch wheel spacers too.
