So here’s some quick things to know regarding how real some of these tips are(since several comments were against each other): 1. Axolotls in buckets cannot be used as fuel 2. Into the Skies is not a achievement 3. Digging straight down is normally considered bad not because you can’t get up that easily, but since you can often fall into lava as lava is much more common in lower levels.

On the first tip they meant only looking at the ground beneath you and digging that one block. The way you did it was one of the smarter ways to dig down. You shouldn’t dig straight down because there’s about a 10-20% chance that you could fall into a lava pit.

A few helpful tips 1. When acquiring iron the first thing u should make with it is an iron pickaxe, a shield and armor (a sword and axe too if you want). You should also mine your crafting table with your axe, and your furnace with your pickaxe. 2. Do not mine dirt with a pickaxe as it wastes your pickaxe and will be just as fast if you used your fist. Be mindful of your materials 3. When you come back to that lava area with the "purple rocks" (obsidian) mine around that area for a chest with gr8 loot! 4. When you see a dog/wolf, you can only tame it with a bone. Not with anything else sadly... 5. This tip is optional but in case if you die, you should activate "save inventory" which saves all of your items when you die. 6. Torches can be useful for lighting up caves, it can get pretty dark sometimes, so be sure to have plenty. You make torches by mining coal so mine any mineral you come by. That is why I think Coal is Cool™. 7. Although looking cool, diorite, granite, andesite, gravel, calcite, and tuff are useless so if your inventory is full and you want to make some space, consider eliminating some of these items. 8. You collect a lot of valuable items in minecraft so consider making a chest for your home that can store your items in case you die. 9. Mine dirt/gravel/sand with a shovel, mine in caves with a pickaxe, mine trees with an axe, kill mobs with a sword. 10. You can't run/sprint when you have 3 bars of hunger or less so consider eating foodwhen you're low, you'll also be able to heal! 11. Make arrows using feathers, flint, and sticks! 12. Consider making your house in a plains biomes so you can be surrounded by trees. The worst spot you could make your house in is in a dessert because there are no trees... For now that is all the tips I could come up with. If I remember some more, I'll be sure to write them down in this comment. I hope these tips will be useful for your next playthrough and have a fantastic rest of your day :-)

ZXMany, I have a few tips for you (they are all real, trust me): 1. If you died, you can pick up your inventory at the same spot you died, you don't need to start from scratch, but you need to hurry up collecting your things after you die because after some time your inventory goes missing and you really have to start from scratch. You should also make a chest in your house to keep some things safe if you die, it might be a good idea to keep your second set of tools and armor so you don't run for your belongings without armor 2. Use beds to skip night and to respawn in the bed if you die (so you can have an easier access to your house) 3. Build a house. It's not so difficult and you won't die from any creepers if you are in a house. Don't forget to place torches in the house, because mobs only spawn in dark places. 4. You can brave some mobs, don't be afraid of them. With stone sword you can pretty much kill a zombie or two, shield can help you to block arrows from skeletons (they show when they are ready to attack by arrow ready to shoot), and iron armor makes you stand better against some threats (I daresay 50% of them). The only things you need to afraid are creepers which can oneshot you if you hug them (but shield or running away can save you from creeper), drowned with tridents (that guy was the one who killed you last time and they can 2 or 3 shot you), and endermans (these 3 block tall guys are afraid of water, so they won't run after you if a liquid crosses the path. They will attack only if you decide to do the staring contest with them, so don't look at their eyes and you won't have problems) Hopefully you will read it, because you are not ready to fight the ender dragon if you don't read it Like this comment people, cause we need a new legend of Minecraft to be born! (Also you should start memorizing some basic crafting recipes, ZX)

Well, the "never dig straight down" rule can ONLY be broken if you are on a river/swamp. You gotta follow the clay and if you want to find diamonds you have to go 8 blocks on the Z positive coordinate (If you press F3 you enter a debug menu and the cross thing at the middle gets replaced by some axis. The blue axis is the Z) from the center of a clay patch (When on a swamp. If it's a river you have to go just 2 blocks to the Z positive axis. This doesn't always work but if you fail first try you have to go 12 blocks instead of 8 (I forgot how much it is on a river but this will work on a swamp), and if that doesn't work either go 15 blocks. If you press F3 and G at the same time, you can see the chunks of the game, and the clay trick only works on the same chunk. If you have to go to the next chunk while doing it, just go to the start on the chunk.

You need to make a new world with Creative Mode so you can test these things. In Creative, you can fly, get any item you want, and use blocks infinitely!
