Honestly I think if you’re playing solo then committing too hard is not a good idea if it’s a bad fight. For example if my teammates want to push a fight mid-game in the middle of the map then I’m not going with them because that will 99% of the time end in minimum 3 other teams 3rd partying us. No point throwing away rp
@AngelPerez-xk8ip2 жыл бұрын
@@ipzee3748 agree that’s a good way to get hard stuck
@GerryLo51982 жыл бұрын
@@ipzee3748 Absolutely, especially if you guys have gone through the very risky situation of eliminating a squad early game. The main objective in ranked is not fighting, its capturing power positions and defending them. For example, in my solo queue to master grind I had a game where I had 5 KP but ended the game with +12 RP. Why? Solo queue teammates become desperate and impatient. We had a super powerful position on height deep inside circle by Orbital Cannon. We engaged a squad and killed 2. My teammates proceeded to totally abandon my position to chase this last guy across the whole map almost to Terminal where they both die to a 3rd party after finally killing this last guy. I died trying to pick them back up. So you see, always go for the smartest rotational and positional play. Sometimes that means staying in one spot for 5+ minutes. If teammates want to be stupid and give up a good spot, let them die. Play for your own RP, play your life. If you have to fight for a spot, fight together.

I HIGHLY disagree with the full commit tip UNLESS you're in a duo or trio queue. In solo queue, your teammates vary so wildly I think it's much more important to assess their skill level and playstyle before committing to anything. I only made it to diamond though so take what you will from that.

I hit diamond for the first time few days ago and let me say solo que can really give a person stress like damn. But really I just need to get better at the game itself but some of the randoms I get made getting out of plat the hardest thing I can do
@Channel-lv5hl2 жыл бұрын
Yes it is really painful, I don’t usually play rank but I can atleast give some tips and stuff In Diamond or Plat what you really need to improve is the speed on how you down a player, 1v1’s, Decision making, Rotations and Team work. This may be cancerous to say but I highly suggest trying out Gibby and bubble fighting, Gibby’s bubble can change the tides of fights so many times. I usually main Path but as always when I reach diamond I start to struggle with him, but when I changed to Gibby that started changing, my win rates in Diamond started increasing and the rate of us getting picked off easily became so low. If one goes down you can just bubble then ult then run, you won’t get pushed. Most important thing, bubble fights are so important, the comparison of fighting in the open compared to bubble fighting is so distant. The chance of winning 2v1’s in bubble fights increases, Gibby + Mastiff is a must go, Mastiff can triple pump a full health purple armour player withint 2-3 seconds if you hit their body. Fighting style, what I usually do in bubble fights is the peek strategy, basically the bubble is a dome, what I do is in the farthest side is crouch there, use your arm shield. If you stand up, your upper body pops out of the bubble protected by the arm shield, Pump one to the enemy, crouch, then if he enters shoot him again then repeat. The amount of times this helped me clutch 2v1’s are very very huge. Rotations, I highly suggest rotating early or having Valk in your team. Most of my deaths in ranked came from random encounters while rotating and I really suggest to just try not to get knocked while rotating. Positioning, this is really difficult, keep playing the game and you’ll eventually used on how the rings work and those small spots are valuable, pick spots where theres no angles that can damage you and choosing spots where its hugging the zone is highly suggestible. Lastly, decision making is the most difficult part. It’s either take everything or lose it all, I learned a lot from watching ALGS or the tournaments and it’s actually helping me a lot, timing, rotations, shot callings and etc. Always think of the domino effect If you want to know more, just tell me. I totally understand what you feel, I suffered so much during ranked Season 7 since it was the first time I actually played ranked. Keep playing the game and soon you’ll be as skilled as these beasts, I believe in you

I made masters this season, I did solo 100%, I do agree ratting is close to useless… what I found is that most lvl 350-500’s shouldn’t have to big trouble to get to platinum, however once you get to Diamond that separates the boys from the men haha no but seriously tho people have no pace in play random teammates even tho they are in Diamond for some reason die like off rip 75% of the time leaving you and your 2 kills to have to try your best to run from every gosh darn team who for some reason refuse to fight each other and seemingly only care about chasing you down for the whole game only for their plan to backfire and them to die to a third party🤦🏼♂️ anyway I still made masters as a pathfinder main with 23k kills I would say if you’re trying to solo, get some early game kills if possible and play for the endgame and positioning, as a three stack play aggressive, but play smart, focus on your rotations and playing close to each other… I’m no pro but I give a lot of time for this game so I hope it will help out some of you guys maybe! Love you Kandy!!!

Diamond is way more achievable now than it has been the last few seasons and I want you all to know that! I’ve hit diamond solo the last 4 seasons every split except the last one (halo infinite was too hype to be grinding apex at the time). and the best advice I can give to anyone is minimise your losses! It’s all about your mind set, so many players can bare gold to plat because -24 doesn’t feel like a big loss. -36 isn’t a bad loss, but losing 36 points game after game can cause anyone to lose their sanity in solo ranked. My best example would be if your team goes down in a 3v3 and you get a knock just finish the kill, you’ve probably taken damage and can’t kill the whole squad so get that +10. Losing 26 points is better than 36, and you’ll come back stronger the next game… maybe. For the most part if you commit enough time and you don’t doubt your own confidence you’ll eventually figure out what does work and what doesn’t. Good look next season everyone!

The tip about not ratting is still situational. You said not to play solo, so fair point. But there are times even when I’m grouped up that my teammates get knocked so fast that it just griefs the game. Sometimes there isn’t enough time to help if they throw like that. I’m not trying to be a hero and 3v1 when we’re also getting 3rded etc
@kandyrew2 жыл бұрын
yeah no, if your team is spread out, get picked off, and they die, you gotta bounce. However, what i mean in "committing" to the fight, I mean like if your whole team is pushing as a unit, and are fighting another team, don't start running away just bc the fight isnt going well at first.

1) Don't be scared to solo que, just communicate as best as you can with your randoms. 2) Don't be scared to dip if you are going to lose a fight. That doesn't mean abandon your team, but if your squad is wiped and it's 1v3 then just live to fight another day. 3) Put some work in firing range, find some good ALC settings and practice on moving bots. 4) Think ahead in regards to zone. End game zone will make or break you, be prepared to make it into ring without being gatekept or have poor positioning. Sometimes that means leaving an area completely or adjusting. 5) In general, just play smart. Think about what you are doing.
