🌋Get ready to embark on an unparalleled expedition to the remote and otherworldly landscapes of Lake Logipi and Nabiyotum Crater. Nestled in the heart of Kenya's wilderness, where the roads are brutal, the terrain is unforgiving, and heat is scorching, this journey will push the boundaries of adventure.
In this ethereal realm, where active volcanoes dot the horizon and black lava flows carve new paths, you'll witness Kenya in the very act of formation. New landscapes being birthed even now! The Barrier volcanic complex, a foreboding black zone, stands as a stark sentinel separating Lake Turkana from the enigmatic Lake Logipi and mysterious Suguta Valley. Here, four shield volcanoes, including the youthful Kakorinya, which last erupted in 1921, dominate the landscape, creating a geological wonderland.
When we first conceived the idea of this expedition, we were naive about what lay ahead. We had a vague notion that it would be extraordinary, with epic views and rugged roads. But the reality exceeded our wildest expectations. We were prepared, and our trusty companion, Laser the Land Cruiser, had just returned from grueling back-to-back expeditions to Suguta Valley, Kapedo, Silale, and was slated for Sibiloi and Koobi Fora in the weeks to come. She had proven herself time and time again.
Lake Logipi and Nabiyotum Crater, located in the heart of Kenya's wilderness, are not for the faint hearted. Here, the roads are relentless, the terrain challenges even the boldest adventurers, and the scorching heat tests your limits. Yet, in the midst of this formidable landscape, you'll discover the hidden treasures of Lake Logipi, the awe-inspiring Nabiyotum Crater, the jawdropping Telekis Volcano.
This is not your average journey; it's an extraordinary expedition into the depths of remotest Africa. Prepare to be awestruck by jaw-dropping vistas, as we venture into the heart of this untamed wilderness. Here, resilience is not merely a word; it's a way of life for the few remarkable people who call this place home.
Join us on this unforgettable adventure, where we navigate brutal terrain, confront the elements head-on, and uncover the true essence of epic exploration. Welcome to the Mara Nomads' expedition to Lake Logipi and Nabiyotum Crater. 🌍📸 #LakeLogipiExpedition #AfricanAdventure #MaraNomads #EpicExploration

'Naperito' or the 'Cathedral Rock' is a breathtaking colorful formation. Added to that white yellowish pan texture of that dried up part of Lake Logipi and surrounded by deserts and arid, rocky, volcanic country, it creates an absolutely unique and scenic landscape on the face of the earth. Plus, those hundreds of flamigoes on the shore of the lake are pure magic. Kenya is such an incredible country to discover !

Absolutely, 'Naperito' is a marvel to behold! When you get to Lake Logipi it's like stepping into a surreal, otherworldly landscape. And those flamigoes on the lake, they indeed add a touch of magic to the scene! Kenya's diverse and breathtaking landscapes never cease to amaze us!

Hahaha! She is a beast and a trusty companion as well. Gives us a lot of faith to go to such remote places alone. We put her through a lot and she always delivers. Would not have dared with any other 4x4. Plus she had just come back from hard, back to back expeditions to Suguta Valley, Kapedo, Silale, and was to head to Sibiloi and Koobi Fora in the next 2 to 3 weeks after this trip. She had done well.

Kindly consider doing an overland rig review. It’ll help people to pack what they need and pack light too. We can not wait for the upload of that when you do as mentioned before. That LC is hands down legit. Plus you guys should team up with XOverland when they pass by Kenya. Until I join you guys like the rest of us who can’t wait may God bless you and keep you. AMAZING WORK

Thank you for this video, I didn't know that we could go by car to Lake Logipi. I am a photographer and I would like to go there to photograph the landscape and the flamingos but apparently it is a very dangerous area... What do you think?

100% Its always breathtaking! Its a shame that insecurity keeps affecting it periodically. Like this time when we went there hoping to camp and enjoy the sunset, then found out that there had been a raid the previous week.

The Chairlady, aka Monsta? She is around. Been taking a breather. Also we need more space to fit 5 of us in comfort and still carry our stuff and provisions. You will see her in action soon.
