You can't insert PS2 Memory Card on PS1s because the inside is preventing the Memory Cards from being inserted. I tried it myself back in the days.

Well, good to know that didn't work. Some aftermarket PS1 cards (like the PS Pro's 8mb memory cards) works only for the PS1 consoles, it didn't work on PS2 consoles (I've tried it).

Wow, I have that exact same bin! Just recently dusted off my PS2 Slim, bought a HDMI lead and going through my collection of memory cards. Most of them are PS1 cards... so I had to search the loft for the PS1. Found it. I might start "Exhumed" from the beginning!
