Can Activated Carbon Remove Water Color ?

Removing Color with activated carbon block that is taken from the carbon filter block (. The activated carbon works on adsorption following the different isotherm models like Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms which describes the kinetics of removing color. It has a service life usually within six months.
The filter is a powdered form of activated carbon which is made in to the form of block with mixing it with food grade binder material. It can remove odor, color, pesticides and also removes chlorine from the water but does not impact on the mineral and the TDS (Total Dissolved Solids).
In this experiment, we made a artificial yellow color with turmeric. The yellow color is due to the pigment present in turmeric which is known as Curcumin pigment. The activated carbon works well on adsorbing this yellow turmeric pigment.
