Hi Elise! The products all look fantastic on you. I bought the elf brow that you showed in taupe, which works in other brands, but is way too light for me. That’s why I don’t like online shopping for makeup of any kind. I don’t like shopping in general. I guess that’s the main reason I don’t try newer products.😂❤❤ Thanks for another great video. Hi, Lisa--You're so right that the same shade name will vary so much from brand to brand. It definitely makes online shopping a major challenge. I always end up combining a lighter and darker shade in the Elf Wow Brow to get the shade I need, so I'm really glad those products are less expensive. It's also tricky with brow products to know if browns are ash tones or red tones! Ahh, the challenges with makeup! Have a wonderful weekend, my friend.

Wow, this was a crazy video today, and by that I mean how similarly it reflected events in my own life. I happen to FINALLY be on the mend following a chest infection, that started as a cold but deteriorated quickly into something worse. My husband and our grandson also had it, although it was really mild compared to mine. We had flown to Cancun,Mexico back in November for a week, and between the lack of sleep on the flights and the people on the plane who must have been sick (because they were coughing on the way down, and of course sitting right in front of us) naturally we got sick too. (I think mine was so much worse because I had flown out to my son's place, stayed 2 weeks, and then flown back, arriving home just a week before we went to Mexico) And then, as you were showing the ELF blushes--three of which I own too--i thought "Hey, I wonder if those would work as lip colors....? I have to try that next time!" And lo and behold, you decided to do that as well!! Great minds, eh? Anyway I'm glad to hear you and Mr Elise are recovering! Sure don't want to be sick on the holidays!

Hi, Johanna--Great minds is right--lol! Those Elf blushes are really wonderful. Wow, that chest infection sounds like no fun at all. I hope you've fully recovered. As the years have gone by, I seem to be more prone to get sick when traveling if I also don't get much sleep. My husband can sleep anywhere at any time and I've always envied that. It's definitely not true for me. My husband and I are so very grateful for Zicam which we always keep on hand now. Luckily we're all well again and I hope that's true for you and all of your family as well. Take care.

@EliseMarquamJahns Yes there's definitely some link between sleep (or lack of) and degree of illness. Most repair work on the body is done during sleep, so when you aren't getting enough of it, it's that much harder to recuperate. Fortunately I'm finally feeling better. Although my energy levels are still quite low. I've been eyeing that pink ELF blush....it's a beautiful shade!

I paused to check which color I have, and couldn't read the label even with my glasses! Thank goodness for my lighted magnifying glass...I have and enjoy the color Pinky Promise!

Hi Elise, I want to let you know that I really enjoy your videos. I just turned 70 and can certainly relate to everything you share. Like you, my husband is having some health issues and my 38 year old youngest daughter has recently moved back home. I do have a question that I hope you can address in a video some time. This past year I have developed some light age spots on my face. I am treating them with vitamin C, tranexamic acid, niacinamide, and retrinal. The age spots have lightened - hurray - but I still want them covered. The problem I have is that when I add blush on top of the foundation and concealer that have done a great job of hiding the age spots, the spots reappear! When I try to add concealer on top of the blush it does not provide the coverage I'd like. Do you have a solution? I imagine that I am not the only woman who has this problem.

I am intrigued by the eye shadow base from Profusion. I am currently using Wet N Wild eye shadow base, sheer, so half pleased with the results. I had used the Milani sheer, but eyelids are thinning and the formula irritates my eyes. I have been experimenting with an under eye corrector and a runny concealer used very sparingly with success. I’ve been using the clear Essence gloss on top of my experiments to hide the lines appearing.

You have such amazing skin and beautifully smooth eyelids. Mine are very crepey nowadays 😢 Here in the UK we have Rimmel and Max Factor that are very well priced. My favourite mascara is Max Factor Masterpiece in the brown /black waterproof version. Unfortunately it appears to have been discontinued but I did manage to find 3 tubes for £15, which is a bargain considering that 1 tube can be around £11. Max Factor lipsticks are also very good in my opinion, very creamy and just glide on. Well I do hope that you and your husband are feeling better soon. Take care xx

Hi, Pam--Thank you so much. I'm glad we have Rimmel in the U.S., but sure wish we had Max Factor. I remember reading once about the Max Factor shade that Mary Berry wears ("English Rose") which I think is gorgeous and so hoped I could find it--but alas, it seems to be only available in the U.K. You are so fortunate to have found more of those discontinued mascaras at such a great price! That's definitely a "win"!

I like Maybelline Sky High mascara. My lashes are long, but light colored and tend to stick straight out,so I use the waterproof version to help my lashes stay curled.
