I guess my question is which one would you like better if the Polaris was in closed cab and both the same year ? I am thinking about getting one just not sure which is better !

thanks. I am looking for an alternative to my quad for plowing. After 20 plus years I am getting a bit tired of the cold and thinking it is time for an enclosed side-by-side. Was a little surprised you didn't have more options for plows though. The lack of plow "packages" is one of my biggest frustrations. Its probably a good business model for the dealers but stinks from a consumer stand point. Like the can-am product line but not sure about the plow option but you have definitely provided useful information.

Did you look at SnowEx products? I am guessing they are pretty proud of their products but they have some decent features.

Hey Bryan! Thanks for the view and post. I'm with you on being surprised about the lack of options from a plow perspective. Blowers are even more limited. I did look at SnowEx and from what I saw they have a great competing product. It might be silly but unless I see a produce that is significantly better or a greater value, I prefer OEM on tools as significant as these as they are designed specifically for the machine. Where as after market are designed in general and adapted for machine fitting. That's only a personal preference. There are a couple of good videos on KZbin with the SnowEx and a Defender. And while I went Deferred after hainvg had a Ranger in the Polaris line up for more than a decade, it was a close race for me, with a slight lean in value for the dollar on the Defender. I'd love to hear where you land.

With winch control being on toggle they added, does the factory winch switch still function?

Yes, no impact to the OEM winch toggle switch.

I just used mine for the first time, not too deep of snow but enough. I feel like the skid shoes are a bit too high. I tried adjusting to get a more closer scrape to the concrete/asphalt. From the looks of your video it's about the same as what i was seeing. Thoughts? I'm newbie so trying to figure it out. Should I just adjust the bolts on the shoes or leave it so i don't damage the driveway or plow. Thanks for the video

Hey Mike! Fun to use a new toy, but if you're like me, I get exited to use it and get a little disappointed forgetting that I need to acclimate to the new tool a bit. Much happier now that I've gotten used to how it works. I put the poly blade on mine which I than adjust the shoes so that they are just a slight higher than the blade so the blade will scrape. Still fine tuning. I need to post an update video today as I broke that lever that the winch attaches to but learned how it's supposed to work. You may have already figured that out. But when I do the video, I'll be sure to get a shot of my shoes in relation to the blade.
