Yes... i was super disapointed buy the 2 2018's i purchased to move my girls up to 90 class... 3 months after riding our home track the wanted back on their Polaris 70cc... now with bolt on mods as you just did i still have close to 12,000.00 invested in dust magnets... sad indeed... i do have 1 evo big gun still in the box untouched if anyone needs a complete race pipe and stinger... You didn't say if you changed out the cdi ignition or not... it's a possibility you could damaged the system with the larger bore carb and you may see a tiny bit better performance with it as well... I agree I have one of these and bought it for stability. I'm completely unimpressed with how finicky this 90 is. Also if you hit any water on the trail it bogs and pops until the water evaporates. Should have brought a Honda.

There is a filter breather that sucks the water in. You need to connect rubber hose extention that runs up under your tank.

You need to take the limiter off of it. Of course it’s not going to be fast it’s just a 90cc. And you put upgrades on it and never tuned it, that’s another problem with power and reliability. Do a video of tuning it with a wideband and see the difference. I bet it’s lean as crap

There’s is no way to remove the limiter without changing the cdi and they no longer make the cdi that removes the limiter. Also, the carb has been tuned with the correct jets. These machines just aren’t fast, modded or not compared to other 90cc machines like the TRX 90. I plan on doing clutching soon also.

@@dom_offroad I don’t think they are made to be fast, that’s why they are only 90cc. If you want a fast one buy a bigger one. Even if the trx90 is faster I still wouldn’t upgrade a 90cc.

@@carguytim9913 there’s youth racing that race 90cc atv’s.. thats why I said if you plan on having your kids race competitively this isn’t the bike I’d recommend. This is more of a trail/cruising machine for kids.

90cc has nothing to do with it being fast or not. The DS90X is just a complete turd with little to no aftermarket support which is sad because other then the engine it is a superior quad handling and suspension wise. There is other 90cc quads both 2 and 4 stroke that are twice as fast and many times more responsive throughout their complete power range.

I haven't got it back together again to compare stock vs. modified but she'll run and be quite a bit faster, responsive and more powerful overall. It's sad these quads have such a turd for a engine because suspension and handling wise they are a superior to any other in class quad. It's very straight forward, easy and can be done in a weekend. But I unhooked the gray wire coming out of the CDI.. Going to a JT 17t front sprocket part # JTF259.17. Opened up the carb past the slide on the intake side, ported the intake manifold, ported the heads intake and exhaust, left the intake rough but polished up the exhaust, opened up the exhaust flange on the stock pipe, took out the spark arrestor. Then I'll rejet after it's all back together. I bought the quad with a clutch kit already installed but you can get a NCY lightweight clutch part # 1200-1018 and NCY clutch bell part #1200-1019 that is direct fit and supposed to make the quad very responsive. You'll just have to play with what weight rollers per your own setup. You can also get Wiseco 4841M04800 48.00mm piston which will bump up the compression or a Wiseco - 4880M04800 piston that is 1/2 point less then the previous piston I mentioned in compression. Remember bore and stroke on a can-am are reversed so yes it's a 48mm bore. The cylinder head is a E22 which is just a China Cylinder head found on many of there 90cc and 110cc engines and others. As for the cylinder jug its not the same as a china cylinder it has some slight differences that or less your crafty will not work. Best thing I can suggest is... screw all the 90's All of them. When I was 9 years old my first ATV/ATC was a Honda 200s ATC and I'm still here. Get your kid straight onto a Honda TRX 250, you'll thank me later.

I just bought my son a DS90 for his 5th birthday. With the throttle limit screw turned in quite a bit it's been perfect for him. The electric start, auto transmission, and easy F/N/R lever makes it really easy for him.
