I love the Renegade XXC's, but with the power steering at max, it's a bit twitchy going fast on a skinny trail! I just geared my xxc down a bit and it gave me way more control but I lost a bit of top speed in exchange for low torque. I almost never got it up to 72mph before and I have no idea what my top speed is now. I do feel I had way more "rider imput" when I rode sport quads, but I love not getting stuck crossing a creek or if the trail gets too rutty! Fun video, my friend!

I love my 850 xxc renegade , but in terms of fast trail riding and drifting honestly I gotta say my 350 warrior I liked more , But overall the renegade is a better machine , but in tight corners / drifts I would take my old 350 any day .

@@michaelknapik6792 yeah it's probably the best all round machine. The 850 is lots but coming off a sport 450 I'd rather have had the 1000. And my suspension is plush but if you're really hard on it the xxc will be for you.

@@WeekendWarriors87 yes go big or go home ! What's another thousand, that way I won't have any regrets getting the 850 , plus the 1000 only weights like 25 pounds more. Thanks again for your advice!

I just have the OEM ones. I added them after I bought it. They don't sell the yellow as a kit, so you have to have them order it as an OEM part from the xxc model

I have a ktm 390 adventure and want to trade it in for a renegade 850 (base model) or a raptor 700r. I know the renegade is about 2k more out the door than the Yamaha… in your opinion is it worth it?

Been wanting to do an actual drag but haven't been able to. The 850 stock is a little slower than a modded 450, the 1000r with a pipe and tune is a bit faster than a modded 450

Does the steering feels soft without power steering
@WeekendWarriors873 жыл бұрын
If by soft you mean light, I wouldnt say its light. On wider open trails I dont notice at all, on tight sections if you are trying to go fast its definitely an arm workout to keep it pointed in the right direction, especially in 4x4. But I wouldnt call it unbearable or not doable.
@thumbgas8883 жыл бұрын
@@WeekendWarriors87 got you thx for the reply,I race a 570max dps and I put it on med setting for fast trails and soft for tight fast sections, I am looking at Renegade 850 base and wanted some feedback on the steering, so thanks again for your feedback
@WeekendWarriors873 жыл бұрын
@@thumbgas888 Yeah no problem. It would be better with, but unlike the outlander you gotta go for a 3k package to get power steering. As a racer youd probably want the XXC package anyways. I ride it hard though and no issues other than arms being a bit tired after a long day.Enjoy it, these machines are awesome!
