I was born around there, grew up in Texas and now live in Washington. Got my Can Am 5 days ago. I hadn't been on a bike in 49 years, since I got hit by a drunk driver. Still getting over my fear. Back when I was born there, my Dad delivered bakery items to the tribal stores and on the weekend we would picnic at White Sands. You could tell the locals who didn't have a lot of money for sleds because they used "bread boxes" or cardboard boxes. My Dad had a truck load of them and would give them to all the kids because the store bought sleds sucked. Boxes would really cruise down the sand. That was back in the day before it got really crowded. The parents would drag us around behind an old jacked up VW on those bread boxes. Back then you could endanger kids behind cars :) I'm sure that's not allowed now. Hopefully in two weeks I'll pass my 3 wheel class and get over my fears and get back on the road. I liked it so much I started my own little documentary company. We're doing little local travel/history documentaries. It's a hobby turning into a job really. I felt there was a gap between KZbin and million dollar budgets. So much can be done between the two areas. Great story-tellers, like this 3 part series is really needed and appreciated.

How does a 600 Ryker ride on long trips plus how do they handle in free ways? I like to purchase One I like to do a road trip from NM to HWY101 California. Or should I go for a 900 instead?
