I am NOT alone! After riding conventional bikes for years, a bad accident left me with a leg that can no longer support me at traffic stops. Where to go now? Tried a three-wheeled maxi scooter with large engine, but, nope, couldn't handle this either. Then I stumbled upon your videos, and that has given me the inspiration to get back on the road. Now looking for my Spyder. Thank you so much for your humorous, educational and, to be honest, damn good videos. I am watching all of your videos, some of the best for those looking to ride a Spyder, in my opinion. Best wishes Rob and thanks for giving me the confidence to get back out there.

I used to ride sport bikes and said I would never get a cruiser. Then I bought a yamaha royal star and loved riding back roads and riding with different groups. I started watching some KZbin videos of the spyder and thought it might be fun. I test rode the f3 at the dealership and fell in love. Bought a 2015 off Craigslist the same day and I've never had so much fun!

I'm just about to get back onto a bike after a few years away - my last bike was a Ducati Multistrada. This time I'm buying a spyder as I love the stability and style, and I'm not so much into the rush of technical riding, I'm more into the air through the hair and sense of freedom - also, my wife much prefers the sense of stability offered by the Spyder!!. We have so many greats rides around Sydney Australia where I live and can't wait to get out with the tribe on the roads. My son has MS and I've been inspired by your vlogs Rob - thank you and ride well mate.

Hi, I like your video. You make a lot of since. There's a lot of superficial people out there on motorcycle putting down because they exercise their right to ride what makes them comfortable. I agree with everything you said 👍👍👍. Ride safe.

Just stumbled on this in 2021, great video! Love your perspective, never thought about how deeply rooted it can get when you're messing with the trike even when you're not riding it, but I can see that. I drove an F3 Limited in my safety class, but yours is just beautiful! Other than the potty mouth, you're hilarious! But you have a great perspective so I'll check out more of your vids. Happy riding!

As a reasonably young, able bodied guy I cannot emphasise your statement enough. I ride a Speed Triple R and to be honest I love the Spyder. People are so fucking judgemental it’s unreal. You don’t ride it like a bike you don’t ride it like a quad but if you nail it they are seriously quick. I’m on the verge of getting the Daytona myself. Enjoy what you do, have fun and screw the haters. The same guys calling trikes lame or for faggots are the same guys stunting in vests and flip flops....I think we know who the real idiots are. Ride safe and enjoy her man. No sneaking out and humping the life out of it!
@TheGimpyGarage6 жыл бұрын
Perfectly said! Yeah, when you get it just right these things are fast and fun as hell! Thanks for being here and watching! Let me know if you get the Daytona. That thing looks awesome!!

Hey Rob thanks for the vids. Ive been a bike rider for over 35 years now currently riding a Bonneville T100 however I know my time on two wheels is coming to a end. A Can Am is the obvious choice for me to keep the wind in my face so I will be watching all your posts closely in an endeavour to make an informed decision. Thanks mate and keep up the good work.

Well said! I transitioned to a Can Am last Summer; It was either that or nothing and I really wanted to stay in the wind. Looking forward to your moto-vlogs and check out my channel. Most of what I've done is on the Spyder, but I have a few on my Sportster also. Ride safe!

My Spyder, which I have not named yet (they all need one, don't they?), shares the garage with a 1966 BSA Thunderbolt. I have not ridden it in over ten years and I have been slow getting it back into ride-able condition because I know when it is I will sell it. :-( Ride safe!

I know for a fact that a lot of spyder owners used to make fun of the three wheeled motorcycles then they got old. I never made fun of them but I did say I'd never ride one.
@TheGimpyGarage6 жыл бұрын
I never said never but I never thought I would need one! lol Now that I am older and sicker I would get duct taped to the hood of a car if I had too! I saw a Spyder for the first time in 2012... all white RT. It was a beautiful machine. I thought to myself that that would be the machine I took on a very long, cross-country trip. I liked them the minute I saw them. I just never expected to own one. Now that I do, I love them!!

you have a fantastic looking F-3 L. I like the hand brake. what upgrades have you done to it so far?
@TheGimpyGarage6 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much! I've added LED foglights, LED turn signal strips on mirrors (called Long Horns from Lamonster Garage), Mustang Seat, and the absolute best of all are my Ultimate F3 floorboards from canamspyderaccessories.com The handbrake is from ISCI and I spoke with one of the engineers there before I bought anything and they seem to be a really great company. Those boys really knew their stuff. 😎

Did you relocate the foot brake to right hand brake?
@TheGimpyGarage6 жыл бұрын
ken deline Sorry just saw this now! The hand brake is connected to the foot brake. When I squeeze the handbrake then foot pedal depresses. The dealer installed a different one but the one I did a good bit of research on was from www.isciride.com

I feel your pain bro, me - disabled 9/11 rescue worker caught in collapse of Tower 2, many surgeries later & the 2 wheels had to go. I bought a 2016 RTS off the dealer floor w/o testriding it. It has been a Life saver, both mentally & physically. I Love this bike More than Any other bike out there! It would be an oxymoron to say This is a Safe m/c. But, it is. Be Well. Hyway

75michaelsimons So sorry about 9/11 but thank you so much for being there and working to save people on that unspeakably bad day. I know what you mean. I’ve loved all my bikes but there is something special about this one. Maybe because we thought our riding days were over and these machines came along and said, “Hold on, you’re not done.” 😎
