Nice video. That's how it should be done at home, however you made one mistake by saying you adjusted the wheel that was wearing. If the toe is out then BOTH tyres will wear evenly. By adjusting one side only a you are changing the toe in BUT you are also offsetting the handle bar position. If your handle bars are straight when riding and you need to adjust the toe in then you must adjust both sides exactly the same amount. If only one tyre is wearing then you have other issues eg. Incorrect camber.

Instead of using the Jig, Could you use a tape measure with lines scribed in the tires (wheel off the ground and spin tire ,while tire is spinning,use an awl or oring pick and scribe line in center of tire using a brace to steady the tool)?

You cant set toe this way it has to be done in normal riding position as the toe changes as the ride Hight changes

I have a question, taking delivery of my first Spyder a 2016 and having been a road racer for years, 1. why does the Spyder have so much visible positive camber in the front....and 2. since you are taking toe OUT will the Spyder track correctly or tend to wonder on the pavement, even tough the tire wear was not good. Since doing this video "laser alignment" has become available. I strongly advise getting one done as part of predelivery.

Camber isn't adjustable. It's set by the A arms.

Hi guys , I am a disabled boy Italian , happy owner of a Spyder RS SE5 of 2009 are very interested in this equipment that you see in the video because here in Italy there are no can- am -equipped workshops to align the wheels of my bike tell me where and how can I buy it or do I need to build it to what are the steps to my cAN - AM SPYDER RS SE5 2009 and yet you can write a detailed procedure for alignment so I can translate it into Italian thanks

On the Sypder only toe is adjustable - caster is 3 degrees camber zero proper tow 1/8" to 3/16" positive. Laser is great for 4 wheel vehicles however not recommended to trikes as it is inaccurate for this use
