I have the same hot tub and I live in Northern Alberta, Canada. I had this thing running all winter. The temp got down as low and -51°C and although this thing dropped down to 25°C it ran perfectly. I have since enclosed it and insulated the enclosure and the lines and it works great :) It was -14°C last night and the hot tub was at 40°C when I got in. My only real issue has been the cover. The damn bladder keeps leaking. I am considering removing the bladder all together and replacing it with a styrofoam insulation.

I have mine outside. I live in the northeast with heavy winters, This spa is truly amazing in every way ... I actually bought this to use as a warmed up small pool for my little one in the cool summer days... Great spa for adults and you can run this in the winter outside .... BUT .. if you leave this on in the winter in an area that stays cold for many weeks/months your electric bill will sky rocket!! .. just be aware... you may think your bill will go up but I didnt realize how much .. be conscious of that

Just set mine up yesterday and it’s up to temp today and had my first soak earlier. 🤩 I’ve got chronic back problems and my body is just generally beat up already (at 40) so I’m really loving this. Can’t beat it for the price. Wife is worried about the electric bill and she’s on me to keep the energy eco mode on. But it’s cold here in mass already (hit or miss really) so it takes a day to get up to temp. So we’ll see how we find that happy median of desirable temp and eco.

I have found, if I fill it up with air (before water in) and its colder out, like 35-40 degrees, it won't lose as much air in the winter. But yes, it does lose some during the winter when its colder. But, I usually can go the whole season without filling it up with air.

So, technically the manufacture says not to do this. But, I run mine year round here in MD. It is still running strong for two winters now. Mine throws E03 errors when it's cold
@StevlandAmbrose8 ай бұрын
I just dealt with this. Setting up for the first time, I was so excited, but as soon as I turn it on I got the dreaded E03. The next day I drained the tub and refilled with warmer water (8°C / 46°F according to my meat thermometer). At least a couple degrees higher than necessary to avoid an E03 according to the instruction manual for my model. But as soon as I turned on the pump it threw an E03 again. 😢 After much head scratching I realized that the thermometer must be inside the pump, and the pump was still filled with water from the night before. So I disconnected it (tricky but doable), took it inside, turned it upside down and drained it in my bathtub. I then filled the pump with 80°C / 176°F water I warmed up on my stove and let it sit for a few minutes. Hooked it back up to the spa, fired it up, and it's been working ever since. Hope this helps someone.

How does your deck handle the weight of the hot tub?
@johnwest32873 жыл бұрын
It's one ton of fun when filled, more with people! I have mine on a deck and it's parked next to the house. I doubled the joyces directly underneath it with bolts, added a 3x6 header brace along the house side on 2 4x4 legs along with angled 2x4 braces to the legs of deck because the decked shook when someone walked on it. Now it's stable and may even hold up to the big one coming someday to Seattle! Been 3+ yrs of good times then it decided to keep cutting out at random with EO2-3 signals and now has become useless.
@GannonForPresident3 жыл бұрын
That was a big concern for me. My deck was built before code changes, and the joists were 24" apart. I took the deck boards off and added joists in between. So, now they are 12" apart. It has held up, but I put in on a part of my deck that is also much closer to the ground. I may create a ground patio and put it on there in the future.

I think my main issue with these hot tubs is that they have issues after a couple years and you have to replace them. I get that it’s cheap, but it’s not good for the environment and it would just be a hassle
