One bit of key tech for hakumen is to mix up your barrier blocking. defaulting to not barrier blocking in general and then barrier blocking the key hit in a string can create and on-block spacing whiff where there would be none, and if you've conditioned it to be a move slower than a jab you've just given yourself a free 6d parry into a 4500 b&b (up to 9k+ depending on corners and meter!)
