Just subbed. Nice channel. Not sure where you are on your swing as this was my first video. I done a video a while ago talking about strong grip, neutral face. It's where you treat the shaft and head of the club like a hammer strike. Imagine there's a nail on the back of the ball you are going to strike. Then take a string grip. It has changed my swing massively. It takes out all the action from wrists and stops you coming over a lot. Sean clemants (I think that's his name) does great videos on this. Good luck with the channel

Keep on grinding BA. You are going to get there if you put the work in! We are all rooting for you. I love the approach feature on AG as well. It’s a slightly better version of the Driving Range target greens in the Garmin golf app. Give it a whirl.

Thanks, mate! Really appreciate it 😁 it's a tough game, but I really want to take this off-season as an opportunity to get better 💪

Nice job BA! Looking forward to seeing your progress. How do you find the Awesome Golf distances compared to your custom weather settings distances within Garmin?

Hey mate! Not too sure on this. My PW was fine, but some of my other irons seemed to be quite short, but it could be down to my poor contact, as it severely punishes me for heavy shots etc.. I will continue to work with it and see how I get on and I will let you know. P S. have you gave AG a go before?
@HoselRocketGolf9 ай бұрын
Yes I tried AG when I first got the R10 during the free trial. For me, distances were spot on when I changed the ground firmness a bit. I did enjoy all the data displays but still feel HTH is a better overall deal for the price @@ba_golf

nice video BA! I've considered awesome golf in the past. Once you've used it for a bit, please let me know if you recommend it, I might give it a shot. It's great that you're working on your mechanics (we all should/can lol). do you find that you have an issue with compressing the ball, particularly with irons? that's usually a side effect of keeping your weight back, open face and loss of distance. I struggled with this early on, and a few small swing thoughts/tips helped me with this issue. let me know!

Hey mate! Thanks for the comment. I'm glad you enjoyed it 😊. Yeah, I have used a bit before and found it quite good for the coaching element. Plus, my son likes playing the fun games on it as well 😀 I think it's worth it, and I am going to seriously consider the monthly subscription option once the free trial is up. Yes, compressing the ball with irons is definitely one of my issues, and the weight hanging back is probably the main culprit, as I tend to hit heavy shots as well 🤦♂️. I will continue with the grind, and hopefully, I will improve 👍

@@ba_golf that's good to know! since the winter is fast approaching here in Canada I'll soon be confined to my simulator room in my basement, so perhaps some awesome golf could spice things up along with the usual HTH lol. I had the exact same problem! the biggest aid to this for me which I learned a few years back was focusing on where the low point of your club path is. Ideally you want to be hitting the ball first and the low point would be in front of the ball, hence why the pros hit nice divots. I was told to keep my eyes in front of the ball (maybe about an inch), rather than on the ball itself - tricking your mind to focus on the low point, rather than the ball. I still use this to this day, and it's been a life saver as far as consistency of strike with irons, and even hybrids. let me know if that makes sense to you, and maybe try it out!

@UNEVENPAR Awesome....pardon the pun 😁. Ah yes, this something I have also been trying since I recorded this video, and you are right it has surprisingly had a positive impact on my contact 👍 I am going to work on this, along with hip rotation on the down swing, to hopefully add some more power. 💪. Let me know if you end getting Awesome Golf 😊

@@ba_golf haha I will definitely let you know if I get it! that sounds great BA, I'm glad you're already seeing results - it took time for me to "master" it but I did see instant results, which was encouraging and I've stuck with it since. all of those other thoughts are great too - only other tip I can give is to just stay loose and let it rip! 💪

What are you using to simulate this? And is it showing through your phone? I'm looking to setup a cheap golf simulator hitting into a net as well

Hi, I am using the Garmin R10 Launch Monitor, and yes, I have it connected to my phone using the Awesome Golf app. Check out my other video on my complete setup 👍
