La Pena for the win! The song is unique, it's giving Spanish folk, but "digestible", it tells a story and in the end it goes fully girlbop. She seems to be an artist with vision and I can't wait to see the performance. It's giving Zarri vibes all over the place, but Spanish version. I could see Spain comfortably come left side of a scoreboard with it in Basel. I even think it might be my favorite nf song so far.

Te Escribo En EL Cielo from Lucas Bun is such a beautiful song! Judging it on a 3 sec snippet is really impossible for this song. Hopefully he sings it well live.

Despite people saying these songs are weak, I really think they will make a great Benidorm Fest show. I think there is variety and most of them have been selected to appeal the Spanish audience not forgetting our roots and traditions. I really prefer this than a Melfest kind of situation with mainstream songs only made to please Europe and win Eurovision.

Good to see you back reacting to the Spanish selection! 😊 For me, Lucas Bun - "Te escribo en el cielo" is way better balad than Henry's "No lo ves". Lucas song is dedicated to his mother, who passed away a year ago, and the moment I listened to it made me cry. It happened also with St Pedro last year. I would say Lucas is the closer to St Pedro than Henry is, in terms of emotionality. My other favourite, and that I am seeing is being backed by the fandom, is La Chispa "Hartita de Llorar". It has lots of potential to become the next Benidormfest winner. But overall, I didn't feel an ESC winner itch/vibe yet. We will have to wait until the live show and see.

For me is either is La chispa or Celine And my guilty pleasure is Maialen song, cuz i follow her since she was in the contest "Operacion Triunfo 2020". I dont see the song in Eurovision but i love her style and music (and her live voice is wonderful)

I keep reminding myself that in recent Benidorm Fests, it doesn't matter how good the songs are in studio... a good chunk of these people will struggle to perform it live. I've seen online videos of Melody and David Afonso singing-- they can do it effortlessly. Hoping La Chispa (my fave) can too.

I might be the only one who love "No Lo Ves" it's on the level of "Yo Quisiera" that I get chills every time I listen to ... but for the sake of doing well for Spain La Chispa is definitely a choice...

I kinda think that this year Spain is polarized with this BFest. Half of the people sais that this is the worst year, and the other half thinks the opposite. I personaly think that this is the best year of all. I am rooting for La Chispa, Melody and J Kbello, as I think most of the people does it too. But I see something special in La Chispa and I believe that she can deliver incredibly in the Eurovision stage. I personaly didn't see a winner alert last year. Maybe this year niether, but I feel that we have much more potential than last two years to get the cristal mic. Last year, for my personal taste, we had only three songs that i liked, and I couldn't imagine none of those songs winning Eurovision :/

Lmao I'm definitely feel Henry too girl ! My standouts are definitely Henry, Lucas and Lachispa. I gotta say that I love my girl bops but I'm very sensitive to ballads too. Overall, I feel like Lachispa's song might be very jarring to people, and its several beat switches might deter judges too. Overall, I feel that if Lucas delivers live and stages well, he could be a contender for the top 10.
