Idea for the future: Spraypaint your dummy grenades etc as well as your live bombs etc with bright yellow signal paint, makes searching a bit easier

I don't think they really can legally. They mentioned in the 5.56 can cannon video that they painted it to make it more visible and took extra care to not cover the serial nr. Guess they got a call from some ATF guys or some shit

Isnt it amazing how many professional explosive techs are out there and how they know whats real and whats fake... I guess they expect all explosives to blow up with fire balls and heavy carbon smoke ( like gasoline bombs) after watching all the reruns of The A-Team several times one can become an expert in explosives... ;)

Tip for easily lighting safety fuses from an underground miner. Split about 1/4" of fuse with a razor knife and stick the head of a match into the powder train then light that match head with another match or lighter.

YES, definitely agreed! THERMOBARICS are where it’s at. Hopefully their next videos about thermobaric energetics are more on point so they can achieve more impressive and accurate results… When thermobarics are done correctly, and not confused with coaxial FAE’s, they are extremely powerful.

Another idea for the thermobaric tests: try it in a slightyly more confining structure. Even without a true detonation you might do a surprising amount of damage.

It's more a case of the Can Cannon being a civilian version of an early grenade launcher. During WW2 a lot of countries used rifle grenade launcher attachments that worked the same way.

I have asked for soem time now if these can-can launchers would send real grenades down range? Im guessing a 556 one wont but the 308 one will give you enough distance to make it worth carrying into a situation if ever needed? In any case its good ot know you dont need a 16" version to shoot these types of ordinance! A much shorter tube would work and are more cost effective. thanks this would be a great SHTF tool!!!

Nice video!! Be cool if y'all made a video using a 12guage as a projectile launcher. Take a 3-4' long 5/8" wooden dowel and a shot shell emptied out of pellets to launch whatever self igniting incendiary or grenade sleeve you attach to end of dowel. Be interesting to see if it goes further than the can cannon

Have to find the right weight combination too, I'm sure anything real heavy probably wouldn't make it past throwing distance anyway making the whole idea pretty ridiculous. Might have to experiment with water filled containers and find out

The pipe bomb went further than the grenade because you pushed the pipe bomb down the barrel further . You need a stick or dial rod to push whatever your firing all the way down for the best performance.

Would launching something like these be possible in a black powder mortar that is designed for soda cans and that size possibly work or would the shock of the BP going over cause the pipe bomb, grenade, etc. to go off in the barrel you think?

We did that exact thing when I was a kid. We used pop can, back when they were steel cans instead of aluminum, filled with cement. We made our homemade motar tubes from old truck axle housings. Add some homemade black powder and a fuse. They would launch a good 100 yards, sometimes much further. It was a ball! That is until my dad caught us. I didn't sit down for two weeks!

Try using a magnesium sparkler instead of a fuse and see how that works. You can time it and cut it to length to act as a timed fuse
