My sweet Eddie would watch TV with me. When cheetahs or lions were on, he would jump up & paw the screen & go behind looking for them. He knew a lot of what I said. He was amazing.

Of course they can understand us! Except for the things we do that just dont make sense, lol...!

You're absolutely right! Cats are incredibly perceptive-they probably understand us more than we realize, even if some of our actions seem odd to them. 😊🐾

I tried an experiment with my old Siamese - call his name while he was fast asleep "meow", then after he's asleep again call a similar name in the same voice - no response. Repeat the same experiment 5 times to check it wasn't a fluke. The local ginger cat, took a few weeks to befriend him but now as soon as he hears or sees me he comes running even after a few months away.
